Called to give a $9000 grant for a processing fee of $249, due to good credit and up to date on taxes. Caller (Caroline Thomas - with a strong foreign accent) said she was calling from the Treasury Department in Washington, D.C I knew that "206" was not the area code for Washington, D.C., but Washington State, instead. This screams SCAM!

This company calls individuals stating that they have receive a $9000.00 grant from the us govt and in order to receive the grant the individual has to pay a $249.00 processing fee. Well if its from the govt there is no processing fee. It would be FREE. Its a SCAM.
