The caller claimed he was calling from the Microsoft Technical Support. Since I never hear of Microsoft calling its customers, I asked for more info. One of my questions was why does my caller ID state ''NAME UNAVAILABLE". He hung up.

I got a call from an accented gentleman. He claimed to be from my internet provider. He warns me that my computer was severely infected by virus...and error messages and she could get it to run properly. I told him that if he were really working for my internet provider He wouldnt be calling from another country and he would speak to me in French as I live in Quebec...

This number 214-161-8166 keeps calling my cell phone and does not leave a message. When I try to return the call to find out who is calling and why I get a message that says this number is not in service. Very Aggrivating.

Received 2 calls. In the first one this person claimed to be calling from microsoft. He said my computer was sending error messages and he tried to make me make changes in the settings of my computer. In the second phone call he became verbally abusive when I questioned him. He claimed to be calling from i-tech in North Carolina.

Received call from this number telling us that our computer had a virus. There is no virus on our computer. This is probably a "fishing" call and we did not respond further. Just for your info!

Just received a call from this number.Male caller with heavy Indian accent claiming to work for a company called I-tech and calling on behalf of Microsoft. He claims that Microsoft noticed extremely virus laden activity emanating from my computer. Of course he offered to immediately help me remove this virus from my computer if I would like. I thought that was very thoughtful of him and told him that I just happened to be using my computer when he called , so what perfect timing! He promptly started by having me click on start>control panel> something else>something else>something else(I got tired of having him repeat himself because of his heavy accent) so I was just answering "yup, yup, yup" to his commands. Finally he asked me what I now saw on my screen. I told him I definitely saw something BAD on my screen! He seemed to get very excited and wanted me to describe what I was seeing. "I see a scam" I exclaimed! "Where on the screen do you see a scam?" he asks. "On the caller ID screen on my phone" I say! Unfortunately, as soon as I said that our call was disconnected! I tried to call him back, but he must have immediately discontinued the use of that telephone number because a nice lady stated that "the number I dialed was not in service". I hope that by sending out this complaint I'm not infecting millions of others with my virus! If so, I guess it's just in retaliation for whomever infected me with their virus...I've gone through an entire box of tissues in the last two days.

Received two phone calls from these hackers today wanting me to "turn on" my computer. I gave them a piece of my mind and them some. No caller Identity shows up, but the phone number is the same as all the other compmlaints. I reported the calls to the Federal Do Not Call complaints and the FBI fraud division. Heavy broken accents, sound Indian or Philippine.
