The real caller type should be scam artist. They threated to sue over a debt that I had already settled. When I asked for a fax or e-mail number so that I could show that the debt was settled, the "paralegal" said "We don't do that here." When I continued in that vein, the lady said that a court officer and sheriff would be by the following day between 11:00 and 4:00. She implied (but did not actually state) that I would be arrested for fraud. I contacted the creditor and the creditor stated that they had not hired these people. Eventually, I got the fax number and faxed them my receipts and letter of discharge, but they continued to pursue me, stating that I owed "collection fees." I thought that I was done with them when I hadn't heard from them for several days, but I got a call from a different number for the exact same scam.
