Aaron Paul Planned The Most Epic Surprise For His Wife's 30th Birthday
Huffington Post - about 1 month

In an episode of “Ellen” that aired Tuesday, the “Breaking Bad” actor told the host how he pulled off an epic surprise for his wife Lauren Parsekian’s 30th birthday in December.  So in love with Thailand and Thai people and these humans and this day and this planet and the universe amen. A photo posted by Lauren Paul (@laurenpaul8) on Dec 3, 2016 at 6:34pm PST Paul told Parsekian that the two of them were going on a romantic getaway to Thailand ― but little did she know that her husband had secretly flown out a bunch of her best friends to join them on the trip. “They were in the back of the plane,” Paul told DeGeneres. “She had no idea that they were back there. So when she was sleeping, I would sneak in the back and have drinks with them.” Nothing beats having the greatest friends on the planet surprising your wife on her birthday in Hong Kong ...

Aaron Paul thriller 'Come and Find Me' is worth tracking down
LATimes - 4 months
The involving, well-told thriller “Come and Find Me” is a “Gone Girl”-ish look at love, deception and danger that, unlike the Ben Affleck hit, never doubts its main man’s sincerity. If that removes a few potential twists, it helps keep us squarely on the side of our tortured hero, which, as these...

The Cast of 'Stranger Things' Just Learned What 'Rainbow Brite' Is
Huffington Post - 6 months
Blogging to you live from the set of BUILD Series NYC and boy is this exciting, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, Natalie Dyer, Caleb McLaughlin, and Finn Wolfhard are in the house. Let's get right to it! 1. Is Eleven the monster? The "Stranger Things" cast has their own set of conspiracy theories about what is happening, just like viewers at home. At one point they were asking Moderator Ricky Camilleri what the monster-Eleven-thing-all-means. Finn interrupted with the "why are we asking about our own show?" 2. The kids want to know what happened to Barb, who was their friend. More importantly, the cast was quick to request applause for Barb's new part in the Archie reboot. 3. There is a blooper reel. 4. What did Noah initially think about the show? "It's going to be amazing because I'm in it." 5. Have they gone back and watched The Goonies? "We went back and watched horror/thriller films like Poltergeist and Nightmare on Elm Street. I guess we ...

Here's A Tragic Thing You Didn't Know About Helen Mirren
Huffington Post - 8 months
The doodlebug -- or V-1 flying bomb -- was an early, drone-like cruise missile that the Nazi Luftwaffe aerial force debuted during World War II. The Luftwaffe would use the doodlebugs to attack London, where actress Helen Mirren's parents lived during the war. "They were by far the worst because [as Mirren's mother told her] you would hear them coming over and if you heard the drone -- the buzz up there in the sky -- if you heard that noise stop, that's when it was dropping its load," said Mirren during a phone interview with The Huffington Post. "So you would just pray it went over your head." Mirren recalled this memory from her family's history as she was promoting her movie "Eye in the Sky," in which she plays a British colonel tasked with deciding whether to use a drone strike in Nairobi, Kenya. Her character has tracked the location of an extremist meeting, but must choose whether to take out the terrorists at the cost of killing a young girl who is selling bread right ou ...

Aaron Paul ponders a 'Breaking Bad' vs. 'The Path' lifestyle: 'I can't say neither?'
LATimes - 9 months
Ask Aaron Paul which is the most likely scenario he would find himself in — being a convert to a cult-like religious movement as he plays in “The Path” or being coerced into cooking meth with a former chemistry teacher as he did on “Breaking Bad” — and the actor takes a pause. “That’s tough.… I...

Bryan Cranston Broke Bad In This Emmy-Worthy 'Super Sweet 16' Spoof
Huffington Post - 9 months
It's Bryan Cranston's 60th birthday and we're all invited.  In this celebrity-filled parody of MTV's classic reality show "My Super Sweet 16," the "Breaking Bad" actor got in touch with his inner drama queen to celebrate the big day. The 15-minute spoof aired on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" Friday, and Cranston has never given a more committed performance. The Emmy winner actually turned 60 in March, but that doesn't stop him from creating havoc for his parents (he still lives with them), his subservient party planner (played by bald Jimmy Kimmel) and his bestie B.O. (that's Bob Odenkirk, "Breaking Bad" fans).  But the "Lion King"-themed birthday bash comes to a grinding halt, when party guest Aaron Paul (!) wears the same outfit as Cranston, leading to a tense standoff.  "Bitch is not going to poach my look at my party," Cranston says. "I carried your ass for six years and you are not going to steal my thunder now." -- This feed and its content ...

Think Google Daydream is cool? This VR amusement park puts you inside a video game
Yahoo News - 9 months
Google’s new Android-based virtual reality platform Daydream is likely a step in the right direction , as it’ll help the VR ecosystem grow in the coming years. But the VR experience Google demoed on stage during its I/O 2016 keynote, as impressive it may be, isn’t the kind of VR I’m looking for. However, there’s a company out there that’s building the first ever 5D amusement park that’ll deliver a virtual experience ready to take over all your senses. DON’T MISS:  How I added microSD support to my iPhone 6s About a year ago, we talked about The Void , the innovative amusement park in question that’s opening in Utah next year, and new videos reveal that the project is coming along quite nicely. The following clip from NyMag shows us what a 5D game of laser tag would look like. Gamers would have virtual reality helmets covering their eyes, but they’ll move inside a man-made maze that’s digitally recreated inside the VR app. They’ll have laser tags guns in their hands and wear vests that’l ...

Imogen Poots Is 'Very, Very Happy' In Her Career, So It's Time You Know Her Name
Huffington Post - 10 months
For Imogen Poots, 2015 marked a new beginning. Across the better part of a decade, she'd scored noteworthy roles in movies like "28 Weeks Later," "Solitary Man" and "Jane Eyre" without ever quite transcending emerging-actress limbo. But as the 2010s inch forward, Poots has always been on the cusp of breaking through -- with the vampire horror-comedy "Fight Night," the rowdy bromance "That Awkward Moment" and the noisy Aaron Paul racing vehicle "Need for Speed."  But it's the movies that have struggled to secure much shelf life where Poots has found her true calling. She played Philip Seymour Hoffman and Catherine Keener's daughter in 2011's "A Late Quartet" before starring as Linda Keith, one of Jimi Hendrix's lovers, in the under-appreciated 2013 biopic "Jimi: All Is By My Side" and as an earnest call-girl-turned-Broadway-hopeful in Peter Bogdanovich's 2015 screwball comedy "She's Funny That Way." This year alone, she's appeared in the Sundance drama "Frank & Lola," Terrence ...

Aaron Paul's Weird Juicy Fruit Commercial Leaves Him Pantsless
Huffington Post - 11 months
Before Aaron Paul scored a juicy role as Jesse Pinkman on "Breaking Bad," the actor appeared in a whole lot of ads to pay his bills.  During a Tuesday appearance on "Conan," Paul talked about one of his most memorable ads -- a Juicy Fruit spot that brought in a ton of dough.  "That paid all my bills for almost two years," Paul said. "I would get residuals every 13 weeks. When they stopped playing that commercial it was just such a loud reality check: 'Oh, my god, I need to get a job.'"  Paul and Conan then got into the "very weird" ad, which shows Paul and another actor's clothes fly off via some strange, mind-bending power of Juicy Fruit.  Paul has moved on to bigger roles since his commercial days and recently appeared in the newly released thriller "Eye in The Sky" with Helen Mirren and the late Alan Rickman.  He's also reportedly starring in the film adaptation of Stephen King's "The Dark Tower," though remained secretive with HuffPost in March, only s ...
