Suzanne Somers Calls Affordable Care Act A 'Ponzi Scheme' In Wall Street Journal Piece
Huffington Post - over 3 years
Former "Three's Company" star and ThighMaster aficionado Suzanne Somers thinks President Obama's Affordable Care Act is really just one big Ponzi scheme. Somers took to The Wall Street Journal to offer up her opinion on what the Affordable Care Act will mean for retirees, and apparently the 67-year-old thinks it all equates to socialized medicine. She said she has observed the pitfalls of this in Canada (her husband, Alan Hamel, is Canadian), where animals supposedly get better care than humans and where she claims her sister-in-law had to wait two months to see a general practitioner. She also posited that there really isn't anything "affordable" about the Affordable Care Act because "all you are hearing on the news is how everyone’s premiums are doubling and tripling." For retirees, she added, this "might work if you don’t get too old and you don’t get too sick, and you don’t live too long." After claiming Medicare dollars will be spent to cover the "skyrocketing cost" Obamacare, ...

PHOTOS: Why You Should 'Knock On Her Door'
Huffington Post - almost 4 years
Suzanne Sommers may have starred in "Three's Company," but her Palm Springs home that just hit the market has room for several more guests. The 10,000-square-foot estate she shares with husband Alan Hamel is on 73 acres in scenic Mesa Canyon. But to access the property, which is built high in the mountainous terrain, you'll need to climb 75 steps -- or ride a private funicular to the top. Inspired by a village called L’oustau De Baumaniere in Provence, France, this massive compound is made up of five structures that include indoor and outdoor living and dining rooms, a two-room kitchen, a guest suite and a wine vault. An outdoor amphitheater that seats 50 guests, a dance floor, a natural pool, spa, viewing decks, gardens, courtyards and hiking trails are also on the property. The interiors of the house and rustic finishes, like the fieldstone-covered master bedroom walls, reflect its outdoor surroundings and make the cavernous abode feel intimate. Our favorite par ...

Suzanne Somers Talks 'Rockin' Sex Life
Huffington Post - about 4 years
At 66 years old, Suzanne Somers says her sex life is better than ever. The actress and author revealed on HuffPost Live Friday that thanks to a regimen of supplements that restore her hormone levels to those of a 20-year-old, sex with her husband of 45 years is "no-holds-barred." "Because I replaced my hormones to optimal levels I have a very rockin' libido, which is so great at this stage of the game," Somers said. "When you are hormonally balanced, you're kind of, how do I describe it, juiced up." Somers married Canadian TV personality Alan Hamel in 1977, and has been a vocal proponent of hormone replacement as a tool against aging. In a 2009 appearance on "Oprah," she revealed her daily hormone routine, which included combination of lotions, injections and 60 pills. Watch the video above for more on Somers' wild sex life.
