'X-Files' Creator Chris Carter's New Show 'The After': I Want More (But Not Too Much)
Huffington Post - about 3 years
I watch a lot of TV pilots, and here's the biggest question I had after watching "The After," a new Amazon show from "X-Files" creator Chris Carter. Why didn't a cable or broadcast network make this show? It's certainly better than a lot of the one-hour programs the broadcast networks have debuted in the last year or two, and the first hour of Carter's new project as good as or better than a fair number of cable pilots. Here's the catch: So far, the first hour is all we get. The pilot for "The After," which is about 54 minutes long, was made available today by Amazon along with nine other pilots (five are kids' shows, the rest are a mix of comedy and drama). I've also seen another of today's crop, the half-hour show "Transparent," which is from veteran TV writer Jill Soloway. It's very different from "The After" -- it's more low-key, bittersweet and mildly comedic -- but it's also worth a look. Of all the Amazon pilots I've seen, in this year's crop or in a previous batch, " ...

Comment on Aldis Hodge, LEVERAGE Star, Wants To Be Black Panther by Belladhanna
Boom Tron - over 4 years
I think Aldis would be great as the Black Panther. I’m of the thought that Idris Elba (yum!) is a bit to old to be the Prince and should be cast as his father. I also read that there are those who think Chiwetel Ejiofor or Romeo Miller could play the Panther. I think Mr. Ejiofor, like Idris, might be a shade to old, but Romeo could be a bit young. He may be the only ‘competition’ Aldis has as far as age goes. I think Aldis is perfect for the part. I’ve heard him to several accents on the show and seen his work in several other tv shows and he’s never disappointed. Marvel should give him a call.

Aldis Hodge Wants To Lead Marvel's BLACK PANTHER
Comic Book Movie - over 4 years
Since news broke that Marvel Studios' 2014 Captain America sequel may be followed by a big-screen adaptation of The Black Panther, potential T'Challa contenders have been modestly campaigning for the King of Wakanda. Via Examiner, the latest is actor Aldis Hodge. When asked if he favored a comic book series, Hodge replied: "Growing up I was a fan of Black Panther and X-Men comic books. I was also a huge Batman fan. There’s recently been a little buzz online about Marvel pushing for Black Panther, and I’ve been in love with the idea for years. I want the fans to know that the one role I really want to play is Black Panther. I grew up loving the Marvel world, and grew up on martial arts. I still train. When Black Panther came around, he was almost like an African American Batman." Aldis Hodge, 25, is best known for his Alec
