She attended the University of Colorado and also studied theatre in San Francisco and London. She has acted in such films as Maid in Manhattan, This Revolution, Sunshine Cleaning and The Last Confederate: The Story of Robert Adams, The Understudy and on such television shows as Sex and the City, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, and The Sopranos. Redford directed the film The Guitar which premiered at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival. She also starred in When I Find the Ocean (2006).
