'Gridlocked' Is The Web Series That Happens From Point A To Point B
Huffington Post - 8 months
Being stuck in traffic is infuriating enough, but when you're stuck with other people, that's when driving off a cliff seems like a viable option -- IF ONLY YOU COULD GET TO A F**KING CLIFF.   Written and produced by Zack Gold, "Gridlocked" features a large cast of well-known actors, including Andrew Keegan of "10 Things I Hate About You" and Richard Riehle from "Office Space" to name a few.  Each episode of the uniquely styled web series is set in a traffic jam and from there things gradually descend into madness.  Check out the first episode, "Push It," above and then head to Facebook to see the rest of the series.  -- This feed and its contents are the property of The Huffington Post, and use is subject to our terms. Fuller House or Failure House: A Tanner Family Future
Huffington Post - almost 2 years
We have been living in the post TGIF world for some time now. This is a world where we know that Bob Saget has the mouth, and likely the venereal diseases of a truck stop hooker, Urkel is sexually appealing without having to turn himself into Stefan, and a human woman was willing to divorce John Stamos and marry the fat kid from The Goonies. Let's face it -- should you find yourself in a situation where, when you're lost out there and you're all alone, a light is waiting to carry you home, then you know you are either dying or somebody slipped some LSD into your cocktail. I think we can all agree that while nostalgia has its place, the age of innocence is over. If the producers are going to sell the original audience on the Full House reboot, they are going to have to get adult about this thing. I, for one, would like to see the second coming of the Tanner family prove worthy of being added to our Netflix cues. As such, I've taken the liberty of jotting down a few episode ideas ...

Annette Bourdeau: Joseph Gordon-Levitt Can Do It All
Huffington Post - over 4 years
Who'd have thought that the boy from 3rd Rock from the Sun would go on to have such an illustrious (and well-rounded) career? Joseph Gordon-Levitt has made the elusive leaps from child actor to teen heartthrob to serious actor. Perhaps most impressively, he's managed to demonstrate his acting cred in some pretty big blockbusters. In fact, he's been in some of the biggest movies of the past few years, including Inception and The Dark Knight Rises. And now he's appearing in one of this year's most anticipated films: Steven Spielberg's Lincoln. Daniel Day-Lewis stars as Honest Abe, and JGL plays his feisty son, Robert. He doesn't have a ton of screen time in Lincoln, but Gordon-Levitt's scenes are memorable -- especially when he's facing off against the famously even-tempered Lincoln. Robert just wants to fight in the war like a real man! Gordon-Levitt expertly portrays Robert's angst without coming off as bratty, and holds his own against acting legend Day-Lewis. (Again, ...

Happy Shakespeare Day: Five Big-Screen Bard Gems
MTV News - almost 5 years
On this day way back in 1564, William Shakespeare was born... or not, because apparently his exact birth date isn’t known. But today's the day we celebrate the man!. If you’re unfamiliar with the Bard, here’s the briefest of introductions: Ol’ Will gave us a lot of pretty poetry as well as some fine plays that are the inspiration for countless TV and movie adaptations. If you’re like me, you may have supplemented your high school English class reading assignments with a few of those filmed adaptations (notice I wrote “supplemented” and not “replaced.” I never did that). So to celebrate the anniversary of Shakespeare’s birth (and death, which was definitely on April 23rd), here are my five favorite films based on or inspired by works of the Bard. 1. “West Side Story” (1961) One of the greatest movie musicals ever made, “Story” placed the “Romeo and Juliet” saga in the gang-controlled streets of New York City. The Jets and the Sharks danced and rumbled their way into film hi ...
