Gisele Bündchen Opens Up About Marriage Issues With Tom Brady
Huffington Post - over 1 year
Just because two people appear to have no physical imperfections does not mean their marriage is picture-perfect, too.  Such is the case for Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady, who have had a bumpy year, to say the least -- dealing with divorce rumors in the midst of the New England Patriots quarterback's involvement in Deflategate.   On Tuesday, the 35-year-old opened up to Charlie Rose on "CBS This Morning" about their six-year marriage, revealing they've "been through a few tough times together." The supermodel went on to quash split rumors, explaining that they've gotten through trying times by leaning on one another and their loved ones.   "I think that's when you know who are your friends and who loves you. My father always said, the quality of your life depends on the quality of your relationships, and I think, no matter how challenging it was, we've always been supportive of one another," Bündchen told Rose. Blue Bloods Basics: Why the Family Dinner Is So Important
Huffington Post - over 1 year
We need family dinners now more than ever. They are the perfect antidote to the age of distraction we live in. You may have seen the viral image of a group of kids in a museum sitting in front of Rembrandt's "The Night Watch." Backs to the painting, they are all staring at their personal cellphones. In a trance, they seem completely oblivious to the greatness of Rembrandt's masterpiece. I bet you're nodding your head now. Because if you haven't seen that photo, you surely have experienced something like it: people constantly checking their devices; kids who don't respond because they're engrossed in a screen; people taking selfies in front of a monument, but ignoring the monument itself. We are harassed by sensory overload, jittery from cell phone addiction and plagued by ever-shorter attention spans. And while modern technology can connect us with others in sometimes very meaningful ways, it can also lead us to ignore our own surroundings and to forget there is simply nothing li ...

Matt Adcock at the cinema: John Wick review
Hemel Today - almost 2 years
John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is a retired assassin, the best in the business (once killed three people in a bar with just a pencil they say). Wick said goodbye to the violent past when his wife, Helen (Bridget Moynahan), came into his life. But when she tragically dies his world is shaken. Then punk bad guy Iosef Tarasov (Alfie Allen) kills Wick’s cute dog and steals his beloved muscle car. That’s pretty much all the background you need as from that point on John Wick becomes a rip-roaringly brutal, utterly stylish revenge-’em-up which sees Reeves kicking huge amounts of ass, in a way that he hasn’t since The Matrix. The action scenes are exceptionally well choreographed. Enemies are dispatched with guns, knives, fists, cars and grenades all mixed into a ballet of grin-inducing carnage. Mob boss Viggo (Michael Nyqvist), father of Iosef and former employer of Wick, tries his best to stop the unstoppable assassin by putting a price on his head and unleashing an army of henchmen, backed ...

Millions of women and children in the developing world spend hours each day collecting water from distant and often polluted sources, returning to their villages carrying 40-pound jerry cans on their backs. ...
