Prince officially released a 48-second snippet of his new single, "Breakfast Can Wait," via Twitter on Friday, Aug. 16 -- and as it turns out, the Purple One has a sense of humor. The "Purple Rain" singer posted a mock-up cover for his new track to accompany the Youtube link, with comedian Dave Chappelle somberly dressed as Prince, holding a silver platter of pancakes. PHOTOS: Celebrity feuds In the hilarious image, a nod to Chappelle's 2004 skit called "Charlie Murphy's True Hollywood Stories: Prince," the funnyman dons a wild wig, pencil-thin goatee, black eyeliner and a velvet blazer to look like the legendary musician.  "Game, Blouses," the 55-year-old singer captioned the shot, a direct reference to Chappelle's skit. The musician only currently entered the realm of social media on Aug. 13, through his female backup band's 3rd Eye Girl account, and has been tweeting ever since. Victor Garber Talks 'Moving Day,' 'Argo' And Working With Funnymen
Moviefone Blog - over 4 years
Director Mike Clattenburg certainly keeps audiences guessing. He's best-known for giving the world the deliciously ridiculous Trailer Park Boys, but he's also the man behind Afghan Luke, a far more serious film about a journalist investigating the possibility that Canadian soldiers are mutilating corpses in Afghanistan. His latest flick, Moving Day, falls somewhere in between -- though undoubtedly landing closer to Trailer Park Boys on that broad spectrum. The thoughtful comedy, set in Dartmouth, NS, stars Will Sasso (The Three Stooges) as a kind yet dim-witted furniture mover named Clyde who's stuck in a dead-end job. His coworkers, including the wise ex-con played by Charlie Murphy (Chappelle's Show), encourage him to set his sights higher and work towards landing a coveted job working at construction sites for the city. Indeed, the bar is set high. Victor Garber (Alias, Titanic) co-stars as Clyde's eccentric, hard-ass boss Wilf. Wilf is obsessed with hiding an ominous secret abo ...

Yorktown Athletes to Use Legacy, Lakeland Fields While Murphy is Repaired
Yorktown Patch - almost 5 years
Yorktown school athletes will be out of a home field for practices and games for about three months, starting in mid August, while the artificial multi-purpose field at Charlie Murphy Athletic Field is being replaced.  Following a discussion on Thursday among school officials, town board members, employees of the town's park and recreation department, the highway superintendent and local athletic club representatives, an agreement was made to accommodate the athletes.  "We're trying to be good neighbors," Yorktown supervisor Michael Grace said. "Our parks and rec[reation] programs are really the minor league for the high school. For varsity high school sports, you really need fairly well groomed fields to avoid injuries." Yorktown school district officials said they were looking for alternative space while their field was being replaced and would need to use Legacy Fields, located off Old Yorktown Road, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on ...

Residents Turn Out to Support Bike Plan
Arbutus Patch - almost 5 years
When cycling enthusiast Charlie Murphy of Catonsville leads novice groups on bike rides, they feel safer on Baltimore city roads than county ones. He hopes an ambitious proposal for a network of trails through southwest Baltimore County will change that. “I take them there because it’s safer," said Murphy, who spoke Thursday at a public hearing for a comprehensive master plan for biking in western Baltimore County. "It’s safer than Baltimore County." Baltimore City has an infrastructure of bike lanes and bike paths not found in the county, he said. Advocates of cycling said the plan is the first step to rectify the inequalities and start adding more biking trails, walking paths and pedestrian-friendly improvements to county roads. While many who spoke on Thursday at the hearing acknowledeged that the western pedestrian bicycle plan for Baltimore County was a little pie in the sky, it doesn't make it any less important. “What we’re simply saying this is a vision for ...

TFT Pop Culture Sound Off!: Lindsay Lohan, SNL, And What It Means For Her Career
The Faster Times - almost 5 years
Obviously, the writers here are obsessed with what happened last night on hit shows like The Walking Dead (brutal!) or the latest celebrity scandal to hit the headlines, and we swap opinions all the time. So, we thought why not share them with you! Every Pop Culture Sound Off will include multiple writers’ viewpoints on a story that’s trending big, generating buzz, or you know, something we just think is cool. Our inaugural post stars, who else,  Lindsay Lohan! Lindsey: My first thought around Lindsay Lohan’s appearance on SNL and all the buzz claiming it would revive her career was how is this any different? How is this going to work any better than Lohan’s many other attempts to regain the spotlight and live up to her Mean Girl’s pedigree? Among her recent (as in the last two years) failed attempts are Inferno, the awkward VMAs appearance, and her Playboy spread. All of these only further demonstrated the low Lilo had reached. So is SNL any different? In my opinion, yes. It’s a ...
