Benson And Stabler Just Blessed Us With A 'Law & Order: SVU’ Reunion Selfie
Huffington Post - 2 months
In some alternate universe, Christopher Meloni never left “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” Detective Stabler and Detective Benson are happily married ― having finally acted on 12 seasons of sexual tension ― and the two are sipping iced tea (drink, not the actor) on a secluded beach somewhere.  On Tuesday, Meloni blessed us with a visual representation of this dreamscape by sharing a joyful selfie with his former co-star Mariska Hargitay. He captioned the photo, “Friends at Xmas.”  Friends at Xmas. A photo posted by Chris Meloni (@chris_meloni) on Dec 20, 2016 at 10:18am PST Despite Meloni’s abrupt departure from the long-running NBC series at the end of Season 12, the two actors seemed to have maintained a strong friendship since their days down at the precinct.  “She was always ready for anything new … There was always an unspoken shorthand to what we were doing. That makes it just so much easier, and off camera, as well,” Meloni said ...

Bruce Willis and Christopher Meloni carry otherwise routine thriller 'Marauders'
LATimes - 8 months
Bruce Willis is making some curious career choices lately, spending almost as much time on glorified cameos in low-budget thrillers as starring in blockbusters. But Willis’ workaholism benefits “Marauders,” an otherwise plain action picture carried by strong performances and a mildly compelling...

Why 'SVU' star didn't want Benson and Stabler to end up together
CNN - 11 months
Christopher Meloni remains very proud of his role on "Law & Order: SVU" as Detective Elliot Stabler, but he disagrees with the show's diehard fans on one fundamental thing: Stabler and Mariska Hargitay's Olivia Benson definitely did not belong together, he says.

A Sad Look at the 2013 Fall TV Premieres
Huffington Post - over 3 years
Well, summer is over, folks, so now it's time to hang out with our real best friend: Television. I'm always interested in what could be the next big show, and even interested in a show that is not only big, but actually good. But sadly, most of the shows that come out in Fall are mostly terrible. Remember, Revolution? Yeah, that came out last fall. Almost Human (Fox) Synopsis: In the future, human cops and androids partner up to protect and serve. This one stars Karl Urban (Red, Dredd 3D), and Michael Ealy (Barbershop). The only reason I'm giving it any semblance of a chance is because of Karl Urban. Dredd 3D was 90 minutes of a perfect action movie, and completely undid that mess of Judge Dredd from Stallone. If anyone should have been Batman, it should've been Urban. But anyway, the premise is would interesting if had not already done a couple dozen times before. Ironside (NBC) Synopsis: Robert T. Ironside, a tough, sexy and acerbic police detective relegated to a wheelchair af ...

We Cast The Anthony Weiner Movie
Huffington Post - over 3 years
The latest Anthony Weiner sexting scandal follows all the typical tropes of a summer sequel. They brought back the same heroes and villains, amped up the supporting cast and added additional technology to make it even bigger and better. And as truth does tend to be stranger than fiction, this scandal has been more entertaining than pretty much anything you'll see in a multiplex this summer. So why not turn this scandal into a blockbuster? We went ahead and offered our dream casting for when this inevitably turns into a $100 million cinematic experience. Let us know if you agree. 1. Whenever Anthony Weiner is in character as his alter ego Carlos Danger, he will be played by Antonio Banderas in 2002. 2. All other times, he will be played by Butt-Head. 3. His wife Huma Abedin will be played by Angelina Jolie, because the movie ends with Huma kicking Anthony's ass "Tomb Raider" style. 4. Sydney Leather, the woman with whom Weiner exchanged graphic picture ...

TV Picks: 'Comedy Bang! Bang!,' 'Newsroom,' 'Only the Young'
LATimes - over 3 years
"Comedy Bang! Bang!" (IFC, Friday). Scott Aukerman's funny, not entirely faux talk show, developed from a podcast of the same name -- but with roots also in "Between Two Ferns With Zach Galifianakis," the studiously awkward Web series he has produced and directed -- returns to Comedy Central for a second season. (At 20 episodes, its twice the length of the first). Tonally, it is a kids' show for adults, a kind of mix of "Fernwood 2Night," "Space Ghost Coast to Coast" and "Pee Wee's Playhouse," with the earnest, unfocused flavor of public access cable (carefully re-created). Some parts are unscripted -- including actual "informative" conversation and the common creation of a false reality -- and others are elaborately staged. (Running through the new season's second episode is a "Fantastic Voyage" parody in which a miniaturized medical team, led by Christopher Meloni, enters Aukerman's body to cure his cold; a segment in the first finds hairy one-man bandleader and comic foil Reggie Wat ...

Star-Studded Project Gets Delayed
Huffington Post - over 3 years
Fans of stylized Frank Miller films will be disappointed to know that another of the author's anticipated sequels, "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For," has now been pushed back, this time to Aug. 22, 2014. The "Sin City" follow-up was previously slated for release this October. The move comes just one month after "300: Rise of an Empire," also based on Miller's work, was postponed from this August until March 7, 2014. Dimension Films gave no reason for the "Sin City" delay. The Robert Rodriguez-directed sequel had been gestating for quite some time before finally beginning production in October 2012. "A Dame to Kill For" will be largely based on Miller's second entry in the comic-book series but will incorporate new plotlines written for the movie. The sequel finds Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Josh Brolin, Eva Green, Dennis Haysbert, Christopher Meloni, Ray Liotta, Jeremy Piven and others joining Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson and Jaime King, all of ...
