'Scandal' Star: 'You're Going To Want To Close Your Eyes'
Huffington Post - about 4 years
Poor Huck. In the midseason finale of ABC's "Scandal," viewers who had been shocked to find out that Huck (Guillermo Diaz) was behind the assassination attempt on President Grant (Tony Goldwyn) learned that it was actually all a set-up. Turned out it was Huck's girlfriend Becky (Susan Pourfar) who framed him as the shooter, leading him into the custody of the federal government under the Patriot Act. What will Olivia Pope & Associates do? Can they clear Huck's name? Why did Becky do it? "Scandal" star Darby Stanchfield, who plays Abby on the drama, talked to HuffPost TV about Huck's fate, what made her jaw drop, and much more. Plus, she warns of the winter premiere, "You're going to want to close your eyes." What can we expect in the winter premiere? There is so much going on at this point. One thing I can say is there are some really, really dramatic scenes and people are going to want to close their eyes. It's really intense. Huck has been taken unde ...

Denette Wilford: A Touch Of 'Scandal' Is All You Need
Huffington Post - about 4 years
There are some TV shows that I can't do anything but watch. While there are some I can have on while I pay my bills/send emails/play Fruit Ninja, there are others that require my undivided attention. You know what I mean. In case you were wondering, for me it's "The Good Wife," "Parenthood," "The Walking Dead" (holy crap, last night's episode!!!) and "Scandal." Yes, "Scandal." I'm not sure when my obsession with "Scandal" truly began. I've been a devoted viewer of all Shonda Rhimes' series at one point (I still religiously watch "Grey's Anatomy," did the first few seasons of "Private Practice," saw every episode of "Off the Map"), but I just can't get enough of "Scandal." Sure, I enjoyed the first season, but back then, I watched it with some apprehension, only because it seemed like the kind of series that would get cancelled. Thankfully, ABC didn't pull the plug. The political drama began a little soapy and a lot over-the-top. The situations are borderline ludicrous a ...

'Scandal' Previews: We'll Finally Get To See Treegate -- And It's Steamy!
Huffington Post - over 4 years
Is Olivia Pope's gut broken? Just three episodes into this season of "Scandal," the gang at Pope & Associates is really starting to wonder, and this week's government conspiracy case puts their skills to the test. The case isn't the only thing that'll make jaws drop -- there's a steamy scene between Olivia and Fitz (dubbed Treegate by fans) and an even steamier surprise ending to the episode. HuffPost TV got a special sneak peek of this week's third episode of Season 2, "Hunting Season" (Thurs., Oct. 18 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC), and while I won't spoil anything specific, here are a few good teases of what to expect, and some scoop from the cast below: Patrick Fischler -- who you might remember as Jimmy Barrett on "Mad Men" -- turns in an amazing guest performance A royal gift arrives There's a moment that'll make you question decaf coffee Ann Cusack is another familiar face, and it's unlike any role she's ever played We get insight into a very scary governme ...

Shonda Rhimes' 'Scandal' Renewed For Season 2 On ABC
The Huffington Post - almost 5 years
The only thing better than a good scandal is even more "Scandal" -- ABC has renewed Shonda Rhimes' freshman drama series for a second season, which Rhimes announced herself on Twitter. "Scandal" stars Kerry Washington as Olivia Pope, a high-powered fixer with a resourceful crisis management team behind her (played by Henry Ian Cusick, Darby Stanchfield, Guillermo Diaz, Columbus Short and Katie Lowes), and a complicated relationship with her old boss, the President of the United States (played by Tony Goldwyn). Season 1 of "Scandal" is just wrapping up its short seven-episode run (season finale airs Thurs., May 17, 10 p.m. ET on ABC), and ratings in the post-"Grey's Anatomy" timeslot have exceeded expectations. PHOTOS: This Brand New Yacht Is Perfect For The Millionaire Who Wants To Go Green
Business Insider - almost 5 years
If you are a millionaire who still wants some green credibility, we have the perfect yacht for you. New yachts are coming out of shipyards all the time. But none has inspired as much lust in recent memory as the the Columbus Sport 130' Hybrid. The Columbus is being constructed by Palumbo Shipyards of Italy, and the intention is to have as small an impact on the environment as possible. On the outside, this yacht is beautiful. A gunmetal color is a rare sight and makes it look quite stealthy. But the real innovations are within, including a very unique marine hybrid system. Under the sleek exterior, the 130' Columbus Hybrid has some clever tech. So how is a hybrid system achieved in a ship? It cannot utilize regenerative braking like in a car. Instead, hybrid means something a little different here. The ship can turn off its main engines and run solely on generators.
