Naomi Campbell Shows Corporate America How To Wear A Suit On This Week's Best-Dressed List (PHOTOS)
Huffington Post - over 3 years
This week's best-dressed list was filled with stars who figured out how to show just the right amount of skin. Carey Mulligan turned up the sex appeal in a LBD with delicate cut-outs, while socialite Elena Perminova managed to pull off a dress that was both low-cut and had a high slit. Though there were many A-listers who deserved gold stars this week, the best-dressed award has to go to Naomi Campbell. The leggy supermodel wore a show-stopping white suit that cinched in at all the right places. Check out our picks for best-dressed and let us what you think. Naomi Campbell in Alexander McQueen Oh, the power of a perfectly-tailored suit. Although Campbell could look good in just about anything, this white skirt suit is especially striking. The jacket fits like a glove, while the pencil skirt only makes her legs look even longer. We wish this was how all of corporate America dressed. Emma Watson in J. Mendel We love this minimalist look. Though her dress is so simple, the ...

The Ranaissance Woman Redefined -- Victoria Flores
Huffington Post - over 3 years
"You are all over the place!" I have to hear that phrase at least twice a day. People find it difficult to absorb the idea that when they first met me I was a manicurist, and now I am writing, branding, marketing, project managing and doing many things other than just polishing nails. I'm not sure why I allow this to bother me so much. It is not my problem they feel this way, nor can I do anything to change it. Does anyone else out there remember that perfume commercial from the '80s for Enjoli for Charles of the Ritz? And the uproar that rang out afterward, including the boisterous laughs from women across the nation? I love this commercial! It emphasizes that women can dream, live and no longer get sucked into a box and told to stay there. After attending the Sofia Vergara Kmart Fall Collection release party, a sort of realization washed over me. I really don't care how these people felt about what I do. Vergara's resume extends to things across the board and I'm sure no one wi ...

Daisy Fuentes Is Back To Hosting
Huffington Post - almost 4 years
After nearly 20 years far from the Hispanic television scene, Daisy Fuentes returns to host "La Voz Kids" along with TV presenter Jorge Bernal. The Telemundo production, expected to debut on Sunday May 5, will be a new version of NBC’s reality television singing competition “The Voice”, but focused on finding talented Latino child singers. Although Fuentes admits she had received many offers in the past, and was eager to work more in Spanish, in an exclusive interview with The Huffington Post she confesses it wasn’t until today that she found a project as "honest" as this one, something that is not found often in television. What tempted you to be part of "La Voz Kids" and made you return to the Latino market? I was a big fan of "The Voice." I think it's the best reality show on television today, and when you add this other factor of children ranging from 7-14 years, and take the production to another level, it was easy to make the decision. How does it fee ...

Viva La Daisy! Daisy Fuentes, the Cuban-American supermodel and TV host, just claimed a piece of Malibu beachfront for her very own. She bought a 3,836-square-foot house, paying $5.75 million, according to The MLS. The purchase was made in the name of the Astral Drive Trust, a trust she has used in transactions of previous properties. The house had been listed at $5.995 million. Trulia, which broke the news, says the newly constructed home sits on about 50 feet of Las Flores Beach. Fuentes posted a selfie on her Facebook page Friday showing off her new view. When we recently came across this photo of Daisy Fuentes palling around with fellow '90s MTV VJ Pauly Shore, it got us thinking: What are all these former cable stars up to now? Blue Carreon: A Conversation With Decorator Martyn Lawrence-Bullard
Huffington Post - over 4 years
The British-born decorator Martyn Lawrence-Bullard likes to layer color, textures and cultures into the spaces he designs. You can see this in the houses and apartments he's designed for his A-list clients -- Ellen Pompeo, Tamara Mellon, Sharon Osbourne and Daisy Fuentes to name a few. The rooms are rich and lush with a sense of drama. His personal motto is "live, love, decorate," which also happens to be the title of his first book. Below, the star of Bravo's Million Dollar Decorators talks about reality television, singing in the shower and small doses of Botox. When I wake up... I immediately have a cup of earl grey tea. Can't help it... my English roots! Before I go to bed... I slap on my Strivectin face cream. It seems to be somewhat combating the signs of wear and tear on my weathered face. A well-dressed man/woman... is always a delight. There's nothing more exciting than seeing people express their personal style through their dress sense. Women should a ...

Racked - almost 5 years
Vena Cava has faced some major financial struggles recently, but it sounds like their problems have been solved thanks to a new partnership with Hong Kong's Li & Fung Limited. Fashionista explains why the relationship works for both parties: "For Li & Fung, who also has agreements with Rachel Zoe, Sofia Vergara, Daisy Fuentes, Ellen Tracy and Keds Apparel, it gives them a label to attract more of that golden demographic, Gen-Y (ie 18-35-year-olds). For Mayock and Buhai, it gives them the resources to bring a lot of ideas to fruition, which they couldn’t do in the past due to financial limitations." [Fashionista]
