THE Maltings have secured Glasgow comedian Kevin Bridges for a third date after the first two shows sold out in three hours. The Scot will now perform in Berwick on three consecutive nights next month, with tickets for the third date set to go on sale on Thursday. Tickets for his performances on June 26 and 27 have already sold out, but Monday June 25 has now been added to the schedule for what will be a rehearsal show ahead of his main UK tour. The Maltings is no stranger to queues, having seen crowds line up in their hundreds when tickets for Lee Evans and Michael McIntyre went on sale. Even though box office manager Wendy Payn said it wasn’t quite as busy when tickets the first two Kevin Bridges dates went on sale last week, they still sold out quickly. Word broke of Bridges’ June 26 and 27 performances when he announced it on his website and Twitter page and one group of fans were so determined to get their hands on tickets that they arrived at The Maltings at 4am last week. ...
