Grown Ups 2 Movie Review Cherry @themovies
CNN - over 3 years
I saw the new Adam Sandler ensemble comedy that's so full of stars that its going for the Guiness World record!  It's a funny movie stupid but funny.  Nobody will go to see this expecting sharp sophisticated humor but if you want sexy potty humor plant yourself in a seat and get ready to laugh despite yourself!  This isn't a little kid friendly movie so leave the whipper snappers at home but its OK for older kids because of the sexual & violent humor.     Grown Ups 2 is a 2013 American buddy comedy film directed by Dennis Dugan, and produced by Adam Sandler. The film is the sequel to Grown Ups. It features an ensemble cast including Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade and Salma Hayek.

Will 'Think Like a Man' put director Tim Story on Hollywood A-list?
LATimes - almost 5 years
A year ago, Tim Story’s filmmaking career was in deep freeze. Even though the director had enjoyed a groundbreaking hit in 2002 with “Barbershop” and had a pair of successful “Fantastic Four” superhero movies, he ran aground in 2008 when he directed “Hurricane Season,” an inspirational drama about a high-school basketball coach whose ragtag team wins the state championship. The film’s backer, the Weinstein Co., never released it in theaters and sent it straight to video. But Story now has a ragtag success story of his own. His latest film, “Think Like a Man,” made on a meager $12-million budget, is now a significant comedy hit, having grossed $82 million domestically in its first 24 days of release. Making a comedy with a 7-to-1 box-office-to-budget ratio is a rare feat indeed, the kind of success that normally catapults a director onto the A-list of comedy filmmakers. But when I sat down with Story the other day, I was still concerned about his future. He has one big strike again ...

Taylor Launter Goes Toe-to-Toe Against Adam Sandler in GROWN-UPS 2
Fused Film - almost 5 years
Though Taylor Launter is most known for his role as Jacob in the Twilight movies, the actor does have some comedic talents to call his own. And now Launter will take those rarely used comedic talents to the big screen, starring alongside Adam Sandler’s first sequel Grown-Ups 2. THR reports that Launter’s role in the movie is “run” one, and it would allow him to go “toe-to-toe” with the veteran comedian. Launter will be joining Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, Maya Rudolph and Salma Hayek in Dennis Dugan’s comedy about a group of childhood friends coming together for a reunion. Launter’s next appearance will be in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, which opens in theaters on November 16th. Still no word on what brings these characters together for Grown-Ups 2. In the first movie, the death of a beloved basketball coach brought them together. But at this point does it even matter. Grown-Ups 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on July 12, 2013.

Sandler sets worst-movie record with Razzies sweep
The Palm Beach Post - almost 5 years
Jack and Jill (Image via RottenTomatoes.com) Adam Sandler and friends have scored a new high — or low — among voters of the Razzies, an Academy Awards spoof that presents prizes for the year’s worst movies. Sandler’s “Jack and Jill” managed a Razzies first on Sunday, claiming 10 awards to sweep every single category. Along with the movie’s worst-picture award, Sandler won for both worst actor and actress for his dual roles in “Jack and Jill,” in which he plays a family man and his own pesky twin sister. “He didn’t play triplets, but he couldn’t have won more awards if he had,” said Razzies founder John Wilson. Sandler also shared the “Jack and Jill” Razzies for worst ensemble, worst screen couple opposite either himself or co-stars Al Pacino or Katie Holmes and worst screenplay as a co-writer on the movie. Pacino won as worst supporting actor for playing himself in “Jack and Jill,” while Sandler pal David Spade was named worst supporting actress for his own cross-dressing r ...
