Edwin Schlossberg

Schlossberg specializes in designing interactive, participatory experiences, beginning in 1977 with the first hands-on learning environment in the U.S. for the Brooklyn Children's Museum. Schlossberg continues to work in the field and publishes frequently on the subject. Schlossberg is the author of Interactive Excellence: Defining and Developing New Standards for the Twenty-first Century.

Schlossberg grew up in large extended family of Russian Jews in the Upper West Side and all four of his great-grandparents were Ellis Island immigrants who were born within 50 miles of one another in the vicinity of Poltava, Russia.

Schlossberg first attended New York's PS 166 school. Schlossberg is a graduate of Birch Wathen Lenox School and Columbia College of Columbia University. Schlossberg received his masters and doctoral degrees from Columbia University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.

Schlossberg's multidisciplinary design firm, ESI Design, is based on Sixth Avenue in New York City, New York and has produced award-winning interactive experiences for both institutional and corporate clients. Signature projects include: Read Less
