A List Of Reasons This Is The Duchess Of Cambridge's Best Look Yet
Huffington Post - 5 months
The royal tour of Canada is in full swing, and for every missed high-five opportunity, there’s been a fashion-forward moment in its place. Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge looked absolutely spectacular at a reception in Victoria, British Columbia, Monday night, wearing a bold red Preen gown with matching shoes and a diamond maple leaf brooch. The former Kate Middleton regularly makes the best-dressed lists, but there are many reasons to love this look in particular: 1. It’s Preen, an unexpected label she has not worn a million times. 2. Hello, it’s red! 3. She paired it with matching red heels (her second pair of red shoes this week!), and we’re just so thankful she didn’t trot out yet another pair of nude pumps.  4. Apparently, the dress has pockets.  5. While the dress was brand new, Kate still managed to get a repeat in there. She wore the queen mother’s maple leaf pin a few times during the couple’s previous trip to Canada in 2011.  6. Just look at it ...

William H. Macy On The 'Grotesque' Season 7 Premiere Of 'Shameless'
Huffington Post - 5 months
There’s rarely a dull moment when it comes to the dysfunctional Gallagher family on Showtime’s “Shameless.” The dramedy, which finds William H. Macy in the lead role as Frank Gallagher, returns with its seventh season on Sunday. And if the way Season 6 left off is any indication, fans can expect a bit of a bumpy ride in upcoming episodes.  “At the end of last season, they tossed me off the bridge because they were pissed off about something,” Macy told The Huffington Post at Showtime’s Emmys Eve party this month. “Apparently, I floated all the way up to Lake Michigan when they pulled me up, and I was in a coma for a good long time. And I think they are going to start this season with an underwater ballet. I’m not kidding! I’ve seen a little bit of it and it’s pretty stunning. It’s funny and beautiful. It’s grotesque, that’s what it is … It’s beautiful and ugly at the same time.”   “Shameless,” which takes place in Chicago and co-stars Steve Howey, Emma Kenney and Emmy Rossum, ...

How To Be Single: Movie Review + Retrospection
Huffington Post - 12 months
I don't go to the movies often, but when I do, it's to see Rebel Wilson. Last weekend, I saw the new chick flick How To Be Single, starring Rebel Wilson, Leslie Mann a.k.a Perpetual Sidekick and/or Hot Mom, Dakota Johnson from Fifty Shades of Grey, and Alison Brie -- a brunette actress who I constantly mistake for Emmy Rossum. {Brief synopsis with no spoilers: Dakota Johnson (not to be confused with Dakota Fanning) breaks up with her longtime boyfriend and moves to NYC. She becomes BFFs with Rebel Wilson, and lives with her older sister, Leslie Mann. All of them are single. The Emmy Rossum lookalike doesn't interact with them much at all, and her side story is pretty superfluous (tbh). Rebel Wilson teaches Dakota #2 how to embrace the single life, while Leslie Mann uses in-vetro to get pregnant without a man. Meanwhile, non-Emmy Rossum unapologetically tries to find a husband.} Thrown in the mix are Coach from New Girl, that male midwife from The Mindy Project, and lots and ...
