The Georgia Southern University baseball team got back on track with a game two victory over The Citadel. The Eagles (24-20, 11-9 Southern Conference) picked up a 5-2 win over the Bulldogs (18-25, 8-12 SoCon) on Saturday afternoon to even the three-game series at one win apiece. The Eagles offense picked up 13 hits in the game and today The Citadel defense made the mistakes. Senior Eric Phillips recorded two doubles and an RBI in the game to lead the Eagles.  Junior Scooter Williams, junior T.D. Davis, redshirt freshman Zac Lenns, and sophomore Brent Pugh all finished with two hits as well.

The Fever re-signed Phillips, a restricted free agent who started 22 games at point guard for the club in 2011, by matching an offer sheet from the Phoenix Mercury. The Fever acquired Phillips as part of a three-team offseason trade prior to the 2011 season.
