Hayley Okines is an English girl with the rare aging disease progeria who is known for spreading awareness of the condition and participating in the 2011 Dilf Day. Although the average life expectancy for sufferers is 13 years, Hayley is part of a drug trial that has seen her beat the doctors' predictions, and she is still alive and well. Diagnosed in 1999, Okines was born with progeria, a genetic disease that causes her to age eight times faster than the average person.

TWO Bexhill friends have run the equivalent of 10 marathons in 10 days raising thousands of pounds for charity. Charlotte Okines, sister of Hayley Okines, who has the rare ageing condition progeria, and friend Becky Reid completed the 272-mile challenge last Saturday (April 14). The pair are expecting to have raised more than £6,000 and have set up the UK branch of Progeria Family Circle, which helps children with the condition get together.
