These Bubble O' Bill earrings are the ultimate throwback to an Australian childhood
Yahoo News - 9 months
There is nothing quite like the joy of a melty Bubble O'Bill on a hot Australian summer day or the summer tradition of having a seagull steal your chips. Now, you can express your undying love for these childhood moments, with a series of Australiana-themed earrings and brooches made by Molly Coombs Marr, a jewellery maker based in Sydney, Australia. SEE ALSO: Home videos capture life and surfing in Australia during the '70s and '80s You can sport rainbow Paddle Pop earrings, cockatoo ear studs, or even a brooch in the shape of the Sydney Opera House. All things that many Australians have a deep down affection for. "I really love all these beautiful bits of Australia, the childhood stuff that I realise a lot of people do," Coombs Marr told Mashable Australia. The series is a response to the chintzy and tacky Australian merchandise that floods the country's shelves. "There's really not much access to this sort of stuff," she said. "It's always 'tack-o-rama' fluffy koalas and boxing ka ...

'Charmed' Might Be Resurrected At CBS
MTV News - over 3 years
It looks TV executives caught wind of my “'Charmed' was an amazing TV show” blog post from earlier this month. According to Vulture, a re-boot of the classic WB series is in the works at CBS. The site reports that the updated version is being written by “Party of Five” co-creator Chris Keyser and partner Syndey Sidner. A commitment to film has yet to be made, but the network has reportedly ordered a pilot script for what is being described as a "re-imagining” of the classic series. Basically that means you should start casting your spells now if you want to make it happen. For those who aren’t familiar with the premise, the show revolved around the witchy antics of three San Francisco sisters who learn they come from a long line of witches. Those sisters were, of course, played by Shannen Doherty, Alyssa Milano and Holly Marie Combs in its heyday before '90s bad girl Shannen was replaced by Rose McGowan. *Rolls eyes* And, if the re-boot shouldn’t come to pass, there’s always t ...

Pretty Little Liars Mom Turns Cougar
Boom Tron - over 4 years
I can’t be the only guy in the world who finds the idea of “cougars” to be awkward and more than a little creepy, right? Is that just a woman thing? I know Pretty Little Liars is more directed at teenaged girls then anything, so when it was announced Ella (Holly Marie Combs) would be receiving a much younger – but still very attractive – love interest, I couldn’t help but wonder if the cougar fantasy is actually a female desire. It could just be I’m speaking from a lack of experience, but I’ve never known any men who actively pursued a cougar. But that’s neither here nor there, so let’s jump into who the lucky lad that will be wooing Mrs. Montgomery is. related | PRETTY LITTLE LIAR LUCY HALE PRESENTS NOEL’S OLDER BROTHER According to TVLine, our cougar will have her eyes set on the young Steve Talley, best known for playing Dwight Stifler in those awful American Pie Presents movies. Fear not, he has been in more than just American Pie movies. He could be seen in MTV’s I Want My P ...

Shannen Doherty On Foes Becoming Friends & Reality TV Stress
Huffington Post - almost 5 years
Shannen Doherty is nothing if not brutally honest -- and she wouldn't have it any other way. In a career move that would soften the image of almost any Hollywood bad girl, Doherty let a reality TV crew film her planning her wedding for "Shannen Says" (Sundays, 10 p.m. ET on WE tv) ... but is it working? Doherty, who tied the knot with photographer Kurt Iswarienko back in October, seems pretty happy with how she's being portrayed on the show, but admits that because they set out to make the show really honest and authentic, "sometimes I'm not gonna come across great." And although this is her third marriage -- the other two being to Ashley Hamilton in 1993 (whom she divorced after five months of marriage) and Rick Salomon in 2002 (which was annulled after seven months and one infamous leaked sex tape with Paris Hilton) -- it was her first real wedding, which brought added stress. WE's resident wedding planner David Tutera is working hard to make the event perfect, but ...

Charmed's Holly Marie Combs Files For Divorce
Perez Hilton - over 5 years
The marriage between Charmed star Holly Marie Combs and her husband David Donoho is dunzo! The actress filed divorce papers after 7 years of not-so-blissful marriage, citing irreconcilable differences. The two met while working on the set of Charmed. Sources say the relationship has been on the rocks for "quite a while." They have three young children, which the couple has requested to share joint custody. What's even more bad news for Holly is that the couple doesn't have a prenup. Since they met while he was working as a key grip and she was a star on a TV show, this could be a costly move for her. Here's hoping things remain civil. [Image via WENN.]
