No one knows who it is, just a nice, normal, lovely person that I met actually about 34 years ago. A similar thing happened to him as me and we just found each other. For right now this is very good." The 64-year-old actress also admitted that splitting from now ex-husband James Keach in April 2013 has been "really, really, really hard." Mike Ryan: A Horrible, Horrible Lone Ranger Movie
Huffington Post - over 3 years
Pretty much everything went wrong with 1981's The Legend of the Lone Ranger. Most notably: the production slapped an injunction on Clayton Moore (who had played the Lone Ranger for most of its television run), preventing him from wearing the Lone Ranger costume at public appearances. And then they hired a hellion named Klinton Spilsbury to play the Lone Ranger (who current "Lone Ranger" star Armie Hammer discusses here), but he turned out to be better at getting into fights on and off the set than he was at delivering his lines. (Infamously, actor James Keach would later redub all of Spilsbury's dialogue.) As a child, I had seen bits and pieces of The Legend of the Lone Ranger on HBO, but even then it never held my interest enough for me to make it through the entire movie. (And this was a time in my life that I thought The Dukes of Hazzard was compelling entertainment.) So, now, I will watch The Legend of the Lone Ranger for the first time in its entirety and keep a li ...

Dr. Jane Greer: Jane Seymour and James Keach: Twenty Years Married, Why Doesn't It Get Easier?
Huffington Post - almost 4 years
After two decades of marriage, actress Jane Seymour and her husband, director James Keach, have decided to part ways. Seymour, a former Bond girl and star of Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman, has been married three times before. Keach had been married twice before. The two wed in 1993 and have 17-year-old twin sons. While neither have stated reasons for the separation, confirming only that they are living apart and negotiating a settlement, reports suggest it may have something to do with his infidelity. The Daily Mail reported that a source close to the couple said, "James is a very charismatic man, but he's a flirt and has a wandering eye. They've been having trust issues." Ah, trust issues. Let me first begin by saying it is always a jolt when a couple has been married for a long time and then decides to end it. It is unnerving and hard to understand why and how they prevailed for so long but didn't ultimately succeed at their union. Shouldn't marriage get easier as time goes on ...

Lisa Lori: Opening Hearts and Minds
Huffington Post - about 4 years
On November 29 at Carnegie Hall in New York City, I was one of two lucky honorees of the Open Hearts Foundation Award presented by actress Jane Seymour and her husband, director and writer James Keach. Through the Open Hearts Foundation, Seymour and husband Keach hope to bring the Open Heart movement into communities worldwide and encourage others to use life's challenges to inspire and motivate others to do good. I was honored for my work on behalf of Operation Smile and Leonard Lauder was honored for his work as the chairman of the Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Fund. It was a special night for myself and my husband Mat for many reasons, but most importantly, it was my eldest son Zack's 12th birthday. As part of the magic of the evening, James and Jane invited the audience to sing "Happy Birthday" to my son with the entire audience and it was truly awe inspiring. Our journey to that stage has been a long one. In addition to Zack in 2000, our son Luke was born in 2002 an ...

James Keach: Alzheimer's: Now Is the Time to Find a Cure
Huffington Post - over 4 years
About a year ago my producing partner, Trevor Albert, and I set out to film a feature-length documentary about legendary singer-songwriter Glen Campbell and his battle with Alzheimer's disease. During the course of making this film, my wife Jane and I became committed to the Alzheimer's cause and to signing up as Alzheimer's Association Champions. Every day we continue to be inspired by Glen and his wife, Kim, as they face Alzheimer's with tremendous bravery, strength and humor. Despite his diagnosis, he and his children have recorded his final album and embarked on a worldwide farewell tour. It's in that spirit that we're extremely honored and humbled to be receiving, with Trevor, the Champion Award at the 2012 Alzheimer's Association Rita Hayworth New York Gala on Oct. 23 at The Waldorf Astoria New York. It isn't solely our experience with Glen that has inspired our commitment to the fight against Alzheimer's. We also have a personal connection to the disease, which cu ...

30 Things We Learned From the ‘National Lampoon’s Vacation’ Commentary
Film School Rejects - almost 5 years
Holiday rooooooooooad. Come on. You know the words. It’s that time of year when the weather is starting to heat up, families are planning their yearly excursions to the greater parts of the world, and the highways of this great nation of ours are going to be filled with Family Trucksters. What better time than to visit the original cross-country, family quest for fun? That’s right. We’re talking about National Lampoon’s Vacation. Not only was I shocked to find there was a commentary track on this 20th Anniversary Special Edition, but it contains director Harold Ramis, producer Matty Simmons, and most of the Griswold clan, Cousin Eddie included. Sadly Beverly D’Angelo didn’t make this trip, but our hearts and prayers are with her. As for the rest of the tribe, they give us more than our fair share of Vacation trivia, insight into the filming, and overall good times that are had by all. As Clark W. Griswold once told his son, Rusty, getting there is half the fun, so let’s get there ...
