News On News - almost 5 years
Global Radio has announced the acquisition of Atlantic FM which will extend its successful national Heart brand into Cornwall.
The Cornwall station will be rebranded progressively over the coming months and will be supported by a promotional campaign on and off air, guiding listeners through the switchover.
Breakfast and drivetime shows will continue to be produced in the South West, with local news continuing on the hour and local advertising sold locally. An additional investment will be made in the local sales teams giving them new systems and hardware later this year. The station’s St Agnes offices will remain as the headquarters for the sales division whilst programming will move to state of the art facilities in the Heart ‘centre of broadcasting excellence’ in Exeter.
Heart is the UK’s largest commercial radio network, now covering multiple regions including London, Bristol, the West Midlands, Kent, Sussex, Hampshire, Dorset, Devon, Norfolk, Suffolk and now Cornwall. Accord
