“Dark Shadows” (PG-13) (3) [Comic horror violence, sexual content, some drug use, language, and smoking.] — After a wealthy British family moves from Liverpool to Maine in 1760 and a vindictive, jealous witch (Eva Green) causes the death of a beautiful woman (Bella Heathcote) and turns the Collinwood heir (Johnny Depp) into a vampire 15 years later in Tim Burton’s campy, entertaining, funny, dark, star-dotted (Helen Bonham Carter, Christopher Lee, Jackie Earle Haley, Alice Cooper, and Ray Shirely) comedy based on the popular soap opera that ran from 1966 to 1971, the vampire eventually escapes from his coffin in 1972 in the seaside community and tries to rebuild his family estate with his nearly bankrupt, long-lost relatives (Michael Pfeiffer, Jonny Miller, Chloë Grace Moretz, and Gulliver McGrath).
