Huffington Post - over 3 years
Fresh from hugging things out with Warner Bros., "Entourage" cast members Adrian Grenier, Jeremy Piven, Kevin Connolly, Jerry Ferrara and Emmanuelle Chriqui and writer-director Doug Ellin got together on Friday night. Co-star Kevin Dillon was not in attendance, but conspiracy theorists shouldn't get too worked up. Chriqui tweeted that Dillon was just busy with prior plans. (Fingers crossed it was related to "Viking Quest." Victory, etc.) The "Entourage" movie is expected to go into production in January of 2014.

"Sales of President Obama masks at Party City in Augusta, Me. are down...way down. The public has spoken; no one fantasizes about being a politician anymore. The most popular costme at that Party City? The minions from 'Despicable Me.'...the costumes we choose say something about who we are, or wish to be," writes English professor Jennifer Finney Boylan. 'Entourage' Movie Could Be Announced Today
Huffington Post - over 3 years
It looks like things are just about hugged out for Team "Entourage." After a two-week stretch of juicy tabloid headlines about greed and friendship, co-star Jerry Ferrara told Wendy Williams that the movie adaptation could happen as soon as right now. "It's looking good. It's looking real good. It could be closed today," Ferrara, who played Turtle on the HBO series, said in an interview with Williams. "I could go look at my phone right now, and it's done. It's real close. We're hoping to shoot in January. Hoping." That hope echoes what co-star Kevin Connolly has been saying for a while. Speaking to TMZ on last Sunday, Connolly said the film was going to happen, and while nothing was official just yet, it looked likely to star production in January. Connolly had similar enthusiasm for the film back in April of this year. "Everything is such hard work, but that'll be like a vacation," Connolly said to HuffPost Entertainment about returning to "Entourage." "It can't happen fast enough ...

'Entourage' Movie Delayed Because Adrian Grenier, Jerry Ferrara 'Holding Out': Report
Moviefone Blog - over 3 years
An "Entourage" movie has been in the works ever since it was announced that the HBO dramedy's eighth season would be its last. While it wasn't until this January that the project got the official green light, with creator Doug Ellin signed on to direct and Warner Bros. lined up to distribute, filming still has yet to begin. According to a recent Page Six report, the delay comes down to the stars, not all of whom have firmed up their contracts. "Jeremy [Piven] finally signed his contract two weeks ago. His deal closed August 29," a source tells Page Six. "But there are other members of the cast, including Adrian Grenier and Jerry Ferrara, who are still holding out." TheWrap echos the insider, reporting that while Piven (Ari Gold) and Kevin Connolly (Eric "E" Murphy) are both locked in, Kevin Dillon (Johnny "Drama" Chase), Grenier (Vincent Chase), and Ferrara (Turtle) are not. Which is kind of a problem, considering Ellin's script -- per TheWrap -- takes place six months afte ...

Search For Lost Dog Brings Los Angeles Together
Huffington Post - about 4 years
A social media campaign for a missing dog in Los Angeles went viral recently, as many residents of the city banded together in search of the lost pet. According to reports, Tesla the dog first went missing in late December while her owner Alex Berg was in Connecticut visiting family. Tesla, LAist reports, had "slipped through the fingers of a dog walker and bolted from [Berg's] Silver Lake apartment." After hearing the bad news, Berg, the artistic director of the Upright Citizens Brigade comedy theater in Hollywood, immediately took to the Interwebs in an attempt to find his missing pet. He emailed friends, posted a notice on Facebook and tweeted out a photograph of Tesla, a white poodle mix Berg described as "shy." Though hopeful that his friends would be able to lend a hand in his hunt, Berg had no idea that his online search for Tesla would soon reach epic proportions, impacting strangers across L.A. and netizens around the country. "Ted" review: That's one funny, filthy talking bear
Yahoo News - over 4 years
LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) - Grown-up boys and their childhood toys have been a recurring feature of American comedies lately, from Steve Carrell finally unloading his vintage action figures in "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" to Jerry Ferrara's enforced separation from his Voltron collection in "Think Like a Man." Making his big-screen debut as co-writer (with Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild) and director, "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane takes the idea to an insanely logical extreme in "Ted," a movie about what happens 30 years or so after a kid gets his wish for a talking, living teddy bear. ...

Dark Shadows NEW! The years, gray hairs and wrinkles fade away from Johnny Depp and Michelle Pfeiffer, and the cobwebs are brushed off “Dark Shadows” in Tim Burton’s campy and dark take on the late 1960s vampire soap opera. A cheesy and cheap but beloved TV program takes an affectionate ribbing in the film, which has more in common with “That ’70s Show” than its actual source. But it’s a fun flashback to the days when a jilted witch (former Bond babe Eva Green, in fine fury) cursed the Byron-haired Barnabas Collins (Depp) to eternal damnation as a vampire, his immortality granted “so that my suffering would never end.” The evil Angelique killed his parents, turned the seaport village of Collinsport against Barnabas and had him entombed. And when he is accidentally awakened in 1972, he discovers that was just the beginning of her revenge. The descendants (Pfeiffer, Jonny Lee Miller, Chloe Moretz, Gulliver McGrath) are living in the cluttered ruins of Collinwood, their vast mansion. A ...

Produced by Sony Pictures with a $12 million budget, the film — whose cast includes Chris Brown, Michael Ealy, Gabrielle Union, Taraji P. The movie received an “A” CinemaScore, according to box office reports. “It worked because it is so damn funny,” Rory Bruer, president of worldwide distribution for Sony Pictures, said. “It doesn’t matter whether you are a man or a woman, you are going to have a great time.” Before weekend numbers came in, it ...
