Christina Milian Has Us 'Waiting For Tonight' In New 'Lip Sync Battle' Clip
Huffington Post - 9 months
Christina Milian went full '90s J.Lo with a seductive performance of the singer's hit song "Waiting For Tonight" for this week's episode of "Lip Sync Battle." The 34-year-old star channeled Lopez while going head-to-head with her "Grandfathered" co-star Josh Peck, who may be at a slight disadvantage considering Milian has plenty of singing and dancing experience.   But both Milian and Peck have a hard act to follow, Gina Rodriguez and Wilmer Valderrama brought their A-game Thursday to the "Lip Sync Battle" stage with Backstreet Boys and Lil' Wayne-inspired performances.  Watch a preview of Milian's performance above and check out the full battle Thursday at 10 p.m. on Spike.  -- This feed and its contents are the property of The Huffington Post, and use is subject to our terms. Can You Teach Stand-Up Comedy?
Huffington Post - about 4 years
NEW YORK -- Baby-faced 16-year-old Eric Kurn climbed onto the comedy club stage, gave the packed room a look of wide-eyed cluelessness and launched into his deadpan bit: "I think it's time I had a girlfriend. ... There's just one little problem. None of the girls I know think it's time I had a girlfriend." "Even some of the girls I don't know yet agree with that," the redhead went on like a teenage Rodney Dangerfield, to cascades of laughter. With the afternoon crowd of 300 won over, Kurn coasted through his act, touching on the art of adolescent lying and lamenting that parents can use technology to check homework and grades online. That's the way it goes with "Kids `N Comedy," a nearly 17-year-old laugh train that gives some budding class clowns, ages 9 to 18, a chance to learn the nuances of comedy without facing a trip to the principal's office. Nine-week classes and two-week summer camps give children some basic training in comedy club work before a fin ...

Jonathan Kim: ReThink Review: Red Dawn - Somehow, the North Koreans Are Coming!
Huffington Post - about 4 years
Once or twice a year, North Korea tests a missile (often ineffectively) or says something inflammatory, causing America and the media to experience a brief spasm of worry over the intentions of the mysterious, hermitic country. I'm half Korean, and while that definitely doesn't make me an expert on North Korea, these concerns about North Korea and whether they'll attack the U.S. or South Korea always strike me as being pretty ridiculous. After all, North Korea is an incredibly poor country whose citizens are often subjected to horrible famines and are making do with technology left over from the Cold War and little electricity. When I think of North Korea, I'm more likely to think of images like these than a scary military threat. All that footage you see of marching North Korean soldiers with their hardware and missiles is all for show to maintain national pride. A few weeks ago, I told a friend that I'd bet most North Korean soldiers would probably surrender for a few Big Ma ...

'Red Dawn' Exclusive Clip: Chris Hemsworth Falls For A 'Friday Night' Lady
MTV News - over 4 years
With Marvel firmly at Disney and DC firmly at Warner Bros., the odds of ever seeing Thor and Wonder Woman in a movie together are slim to none. MTV News has an exclusive clip from the "Red Dawn" remake featuring Hemsworth and Palicki's characters meeting for the first time. As is befitting two of Hollywood's finest specimens, the chemistry between Hemsworth and Palicki is practically palpable, making it all the more believable when a young Josh Hutcherson more or less swoons when the "Friday Night Lights" actress comes calling for a pair of French fries. See the clip below! "Red Dawn," which also stars Josh Peck and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, hits theaters on November 21. What do you think of the "Red Dawn" clip? 'Red Dawn' Star Josh Peck Talks Higher Stakes In Remake
MTV News - over 4 years
Nearly 30 years after Patrick Swayze, Charlie Sheen and C. Thomas Howell took up arms against invading Soviet troops, a whole new crop of Hollywood's Pretty Young Things will fend off an equally formidable foe in the upcoming remake of "Red Dawn," hitting theaters November 21. Starring Chris Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson and Josh Peck, the film follows a rag-tag group of teens as their town is taken over by North Korean forces. As part of MTV's Fall Movie Preview Week, we've not only snagged an exclusive first-look image from the film, but chatted up Peck about the long-gestating project and its roots in the '80s classic. Check out exclusive images from "Red Dawn" and the rest of our Fall Movie Preview films. Production began on the actioner three years ago, long before Hemsworth wielded Thor's hammer or Hutcherson entered the arena as Peeta, and for co-star Peck, the wait for "Red Dawn" to break on the big-screen has been a long one, to say the least.
