Bali Nine: Andrew Chan Funeral, ‘I Fought The Good Fight And Came Out A Winner In God’s Eyes’
The Inquisitor - almost 2 years
Today, Bali Nine member Andrew Chan was laid to rest in Sydney, Australia. Chan was recently executed after spending nearly ten years in jail for attempting to smuggle heroin. The service was live-streamed via Andrew Chan’s website so people who couldn’t attend in person could watch. Present for the service were Chan’s family, his new wife Febyanti Herewila-Chan, family members of fellow Australian death row inmate Myuran Sukumaran, and Chan’s lawyer Julian McMahon. After several songs were sung, Andrew Chan’s brother, Michael, spoke of his younger brother. He described how people can change, of how the way a person departs the world can define them. He also vowed to continue in his fight against the death penalty. “Andrew was a great son, brother, uncle and in his remaining months as a pastor he was always thinking of others and their well-being… People deserve a second chance in life, people make mistakes and in life and deserve a second chance.” Andrew Chan’s spiritual adv ...

Top 5 Novels on Power and Ambition
Huffington Post - almost 2 years
Many of my readers have asked which books I would recommend that offer fundamental insights into the drive for personal power, and the way it affects individuals. Numerous authors have tackled this subject in memoirs, novels and plays. There is a vast treasure chest of books, spanning centuries, that deal with this subject and I'm sure everyone has their favorites. Attracting little notice on its publication in 1830, it has exploded into an international classic and has been lauded since Stendhal's breakout decade of the 1 ...

Huffington Post - almost 4 years
The cast of DirecTV's "Full Circle" is full of TV veterans. Kate Walsh, David Boreanaz, Minka Kelly and Julian McMahon are just a few of the small screen favorites who will star in the new 10-episode drama. This is Walsh's first TV project since "Private Practice" ended in early 2013 and "Bones" fans shouldn't worry: Boreanaz will return for the Fox procedural's Season 9. The series from Neil LaBute aims to examine "the human condition and relationships through a series of conversations between 11 people," whose lives are intertwined, unbeknownst to them. Each episode takes place in a restaurant and is a conversation between two characters. One of the character's storylines then will carry over into the next episode through a conversation with a new character. The "Full Circle" cast also includes "Harry Potter's" Tom Felton, Keke Palmer, Devon Gerhart, Billy Campbell, Noah Silver, Ally Sheedy, Cheyenne Jackson, and Robin Weigert. Check out DirecTV's in-depth descr ...
