On "Watch What Happens: Live," Savannah Guthrie talked about her infamous interview with Kate Gosselin and her 13-year-old twins. Things got incredibly awkward when the twin girls clammed up, and then it got even worse when Kate tried to push them to open up and talk. "I honestly was just thinking, this is crazy," she said. "Is this as crazy as it feels inside? Does it look crazy? Then I checked my Twitter feed and I knew, it was crazy. I saw Matt [Lauer] right after, he was like, ‘Woah.’” It may have just been an off day for the girls. A few days later, they had no trouble talking when they stopped by ABC's "The View." They speak! After last week's incredibly awkward and silent Today show appearance, Kate Gosselin's twin daughters Mady and Cara gave Barbara Walters and her View cohosts an actual sit-down interview on Monday, Jan. 20 -- except when their father Jon Gosselin was mentioned. "What kind of stuff do you do around the house to help your mom?" Sherri Shepherd asked the 13-year-old twins, both seated beside their famous mother, on the set's trademark blue couch. "I don't really do chores… so Cara?" joked Mady as she turned to her sister. PHOTOS: Most controversial star moms ever "Okay, well, I unload the dishes," explained Cara, who was dressed in a pink sweater, black tights and brown boots for her appearance. "Mady loads the dishwasher, she does do some work," she said of her sister, who wore a black sweater and tights. Mom Kate, clad in a bright pink sweater, simply nodded her head in response. Jon Gosselin Will (Justifiably) Revel In Kate’s Today Show Disaster Now
The Superficial - about 3 years
“Shh, I’m still savoring the humiliation. *closes eyes* Mmm.. Mmmmm.. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!” Kate Gosselin thought she’d just pop up on TODAY yesterday and make Jon look like an idiot by proving their kids aren’t damaged from being on reality television by making them throw their own father under the bus to a nationwide daytime audience. Instead, her daughters clammed up embarrassing the shit out of Kate. So here’s Jon Gosselin going for the fatality by calling into TMZ and understandably asking “What the fuck?” Via Us Weekly: “I felt upset. I was laying there with Liz [Jannetta] and we were like, ‘Say something girls. Come on! Just say something. Anything.’ And they didn’t say anything and we were like, ‘Ugh, this is horrible,’” the 36-year-old said of watching the segment with his girlfriend. “Then I felt really bad. I mean, I didn’t care too much for Kate or whatever, but I felt really bad for Mady and Cara because I love them and they’re just put in this situation ...

Huffington Post - over 3 years
Jennifer Lawrence had us all doing double-takes this week when she debuted a bold pixie cut, which earned her praise from some and "WTF? Isn't that Kate Gosselin hair?" comments from others. So why did Lawrence, she of the flowing blonde locks and kickass messy braids in "Hunger Games," get the chop? "I don’t know, I cut it earlier, and it was just kind of like [shoulder-length] and it grew to that awkward, gross length, and I just kept putting it back in a bun, and I said, 'Well I don’t want to do this,' so I just cut it off," J.Law told Marissa Mayer during a Yahoo interview on Thursday. "It just couldn't get any uglier." Aw, Jen, that's not true. (Is this the "gross" length you were referring to?) But we do sympathize with that awkward growing-out stage. Michelle Obama had the same issue, griping that growing her bangs out was "getting a little irritating." We totally get it. Still, we're not certain Lawrence's best solution was to chop it off into a rather mature pixie. (Was a ...
