Keith Askins
Keith Bernard Askins is a retired American professional basketball player. After playing at the University of Alabama, the 6'7" Askins signed with the National Basketball Association's (NBA) Miami Heat in 1990. A versatile athlete who could play at multiple positions, Askins spent his entire career as a reserve and defensive specialist for the Heat, retiring after being waived by the Heat in 1999 with career totals of 1,852 points and 1,428 rebounds.

The game is a big one -- a rematch of the 2012 NBA Finals with the HEAT hosting the Oklahoma City Thunder. Alberti and his family are part of a small contingent of military families invited to participate in an on-court gift exchange with players and coaches from both teams. Alberti, a disabled veteran and a father of four, can hardly contain his enthusiasm.
