Are E-Cigarettes the New Celebrity Accessory?
Huffington Post - about 3 years
Leonardo DiCaprio, Jenny McCarthy, Stephen Dorff, Kevin Connolly, Bruno Mars... the list goes on and on when it comes to celebrities and the new "it" accessory, the e-cig. A few years ago, before vaping hit the mainstream like it has today, Katherine Heigl made an appearance on the David Letterman Show and started puffing away on her e-cigarette. David Letterman himself even took a few puffs. This might have been the beginning of the e-cig celebrity-ism. Recently, popular celebrities have been spotted and photographed using e-cigarettes and some have even gone so far as to endorse them. Actress Jenny McCarthy recently joined actor Stephen Dorff endorsing the Blu eCigs brand. Musician Bruno Mars just signed on as an investor in the electronic cigarette company NJOY. E-Lites made a cameo appearance in a music video by one of the UK's biggest stars, Lily Allen. Miley's little brother, Trace Cyrus has been seen toting around his CloudCig. It goes on...and on. Fresh from hugging things out with Warner Bros., "Entourage" cast members Adrian Grenier, Jeremy Piven, Kevin Connolly, Jerry Ferrara and Emmanuelle Chriqui and writer-director Doug Ellin got together on Friday night. Co-star Kevin Dillon was not in attendance, but conspiracy theorists shouldn't get too worked up. Chriqui tweeted that Dillon was just busy with prior plans. (Fingers crossed it was related to "Viking Quest." Victory, etc.) The "Entourage" movie is expected to go into production in January of 2014.

'Entourage' Movie Could Be Announced Today
Huffington Post - over 3 years
It looks like things are just about hugged out for Team "Entourage." After a two-week stretch of juicy tabloid headlines about greed and friendship, co-star Jerry Ferrara told Wendy Williams that the movie adaptation could happen as soon as right now. "It's looking good. It's looking real good. It could be closed today," Ferrara, who played Turtle on the HBO series, said in an interview with Williams. "I could go look at my phone right now, and it's done. It's real close. We're hoping to shoot in January. Hoping." That hope echoes what co-star Kevin Connolly has been saying for a while. Speaking to TMZ on last Sunday, Connolly said the film was going to happen, and while nothing was official just yet, it looked likely to star production in January. Connolly had similar enthusiasm for the film back in April of this year. "Everything is such hard work, but that'll be like a vacation," Connolly said to HuffPost Entertainment about returning to "Entourage." "It can't happen fast enough ...

<i>Muhammad Ali's Greatest Fight</i>: Rumble in the High Court
Huffington Post - over 3 years
A monstrous superstar refuses to fight in a war so controversial that it brought about a social revolution, and defends his position until he's heard at the highest levels. It was world news when the U.S. Supreme Court took on the heavyweight champion's case in his bid to legally decline to serve in the Vietnam War, and I had no idea it ever happened. Though I'm a bit embarrassed to admit I had never heard of Clay V. United States, I suspect I'm one of the millions-strong target audience that Muhammad Ali's Greatest Fight is aiming to educate. Ali stayed seated as he was called to service in 1967, knowing he was committing a felony that carried a steep fine and possible prison time. His boxing license was suspended, his title was stripped, and the Justice Department determined that his newfound religious faith rooted in the Nation of Islam didn't satisfy the requirements for conscientious objector status. Banned from the ring, Ali launched into the heart of the anti-war and racial u ...

'Entourage' Movie Delayed Because Adrian Grenier, Jerry Ferrara 'Holding Out': Report
Moviefone Blog - over 3 years
An "Entourage" movie has been in the works ever since it was announced that the HBO dramedy's eighth season would be its last. While it wasn't until this January that the project got the official green light, with creator Doug Ellin signed on to direct and Warner Bros. lined up to distribute, filming still has yet to begin. According to a recent Page Six report, the delay comes down to the stars, not all of whom have firmed up their contracts. "Jeremy [Piven] finally signed his contract two weeks ago. His deal closed August 29," a source tells Page Six. "But there are other members of the cast, including Adrian Grenier and Jerry Ferrara, who are still holding out." TheWrap echos the insider, reporting that while Piven (Ari Gold) and Kevin Connolly (Eric "E" Murphy) are both locked in, Kevin Dillon (Johnny "Drama" Chase), Grenier (Vincent Chase), and Ferrara (Turtle) are not. Which is kind of a problem, considering Ellin's script -- per TheWrap -- takes place six months afte ...

'Entourage' Star SIZZLES In String Bikini
Huffington Post - over 3 years
As if Miami wasn't hot enough, "Entourage" beauty Emmanuelle Chriqui slipped into a string bikini and headed to the beach Thursday. The 35-year-old stunner was spotted splashing in the waters off a beach in Miami, Fla., with her boyfriend, Adrian Bellani. Chriqui opted for a yellow floral bikini that showed her unbelievable figure. She topped off the look with a pair of aviator sunglasses as she swam in the water and lounged in the sand. Since wrapping up the hit HBO series in 2011, the actress has appeared in "Thundercats," "TRON: Uprising" and "The Mentalist." She is expected to be back with Adrian Grenier and Kevin Connolly for the "Entourage" movie, however, once a final deal is made. "It's been green-lit, so it's there, and there's a script," she told Canada's City News back in May. "But we're still waiting for the official, 'This is the start date'... Listen, I'm excited... Karin Badt: Stephen Frears Presents "Muhammad Ali's Greatest Fight" at Cannes
Huffington Post - almost 4 years
I admit I only went to see the HBO movie Muhammad Ali's Greatest Fight here at Cannes as a chance to speak afterwards to director Stephen Frears, who is always a punchy pleasure to interview, what with his curmudgeon biting humor and bright pinpointing eyes. The film, to be aired on TV next fall, is a watered-down 12 Angry Men delving into the 1971 Supreme Court decision about Cassius Clay's (aka Muhammad Ali) right to appeal his conviction for his evasion of the Vietnam War draft, as a conscientious objector inspired by Muslim beliefs. This conviction cost Ali three years of work as he was not allowed to fight because of it, nor could he leave the country. He was also to be imprisoned. Frears states that he made the film because he met the South African scriptwriter Shawn Slovo at a party, and she showed him the script and he liked it. "I liked the script. You guys want me to be an auteur. I am not an auteur in this film." I would say that more than the ...
