'Entourage' Movie Delayed Because Adrian Grenier, Jerry Ferrara 'Holding Out': Report
Moviefone Blog - over 3 years
An "Entourage" movie has been in the works ever since it was announced that the HBO dramedy's eighth season would be its last. While it wasn't until this January that the project got the official green light, with creator Doug Ellin signed on to direct and Warner Bros. lined up to distribute, filming still has yet to begin. According to a recent Page Six report, the delay comes down to the stars, not all of whom have firmed up their contracts. "Jeremy [Piven] finally signed his contract two weeks ago. His deal closed August 29," a source tells Page Six. "But there are other members of the cast, including Adrian Grenier and Jerry Ferrara, who are still holding out." TheWrap echos the insider, reporting that while Piven (Ari Gold) and Kevin Connolly (Eric "E" Murphy) are both locked in, Kevin Dillon (Johnny "Drama" Chase), Grenier (Vincent Chase), and Ferrara (Turtle) are not. Which is kind of a problem, considering Ellin's script -- per TheWrap -- takes place six months afte ...

29 Fathers And Sons Work Together At This NYC Steakhouse
Business Insider - over 4 years
If employees stick around for decades, the employer is probably doing something right. And if their children get jobs there too, it's probably doing something special. The steakhouse chain Smith & Wollensky can boast 29 fathers and sons out of the 200 employees at its New York location, reports Crain's New York Business. In the restaurant industry, where turnover is notoriously speedy, that's something of a miracle. "We have 20 guys with one thing on their resumes—Smith & Wollensky—and I'm one of them," said General Manager Tommy Hart. The parent-child tradition began with its founder Alan Stillman, who in 1965 was a New York bachelor, "looking to meet girls," so founded the city's first singles bar. That singles bar was called T.G.I. Fridays, and it became one of the most successful casual dining chains of all time. And the bar successfully steered female attention Stillman's way too. ("Have you seen the movie 'Cocktail'?" he said in a 2010 interview. "Tom Cruise played ...

Former Real World cast member John Devenanzio, aka “Johnny Bananas” apparently, has failed in his attempted lawsuit against the show Entourage, claiming that the show’s “Johnny’s Bananas” animated character – a dumb cartoon monkey voiced by Kevin Dillon’s Johnny Drama – was stolen from his own existence. The sexy details, Via THR: In the lawsuit, Devenanzio charged HBO, parent Time Warner and Entourage creator Doug Ellin with featuring an “unwarranted, unauthorized and unfavorable mention of plaintiff’s name and personality and allusions to plaintiff’s physical and mental character.” …But New York Superior Court Judge Lucy Billings has ruled that Devenanzio filed his claims too late. Hahaha, perfect. Looks like THE MOVIE’S BACK ON! (YEEEAHHH! OH YEAAAHHHH!!!) This closes the case of Real World v Entourage, a veritable “Alien vs. Predator” of societal greatness. Lower Moreland Patch - almost 5 years
Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Ferman has announced the arrest of 32 suspects in connection with a large-scale methamphetamine trafficking operation, which spanned from northern Montgomery County to Philadelphia and included 12 residents of Lansdale Borough and Hatfield, Towamencin, Montgomery and Upper Gwynedd townships. Methamphetamine was recovered from a motorcycle repair shop in Lansdale, according to the report, just one of many locations where police executed search warrants. While most of the suspects who were arrested come from the western part of the county, Lower Moreland has its fair share of incidents relating to illicit drugs (more than most surrounding townships according to other Patch sites). Over a six-month period dating back to September of 2011, there have been more than 10 reports relating to methadone and/or heroin in the township. Some local residents point to the Discovery House, the outpatient addiction center on Philmont Ave., for the cause ...
