Baby Girl on the Way for Newlywed Kirsten Storms
Celebrity Babies - People - over 3 years
Courtesy Brandon Barash In a twist that would be right at home on a soap opera, General Hospital star Kirsten Storms, who plays vixen-with-a-heart-of-gold Maxie Jones on the legendary daytime drama, is married — and about to be a mom. The news comes as a shock not only because Storms, 29, has battled endometriosis, but because the baby’s father is Storms’ former costar, Brandon Barash, who played Johnny Zacchara on the soap until last April. “We’re having a little girl in January,” the proud dad-to-be — who also reveals that the couple secretly wed in June – tells PEOPLE exclusively.  ”It’s been the most amazing couple of months of our lives.” “We kept things quiet because of everything that can go wrong during the first trimester,” Barash, 33, explains. “Kirsten did have a rocky [time] and we were in and out of the hospital.” It was a rough start to a very welcome surprise for the couple, he adds. “We talked about wanting to have kids and Kirsten was told she could try hor ...

Roanoke County actress Jen Lilley’s stint at General Hospital ends
Roanoke.com - over 4 years
Kirsten Storms, the actress whom Jen Lilley replaced on ABC’s “General Hospital,” has returned to the role of Maxie after an extended absence caused by health problems, and thus Jen is exiting the show. Jen sent me this message about the soap opera letting her go: I just wanted to let you know, I am officially done with GH. Kirsten Storms is returning. My last air date is August 10th. Today, at the annual GH fan club weekend, before the news was even announced, I got a standing ovation from the amazing fans. I was told that’s never happened before for anyone. Not even Maurice Bernard. I thought I’d let you know first. I just got home. Monday is the official start of episodics season (meaning the fall primetime shows start taping again). I will keep you posted on all my bookings. I’m also looking forward to focusing on my children’s book (currently being illustrated and hopefully out by Christmas). After her fans made #welovejenlilley trend on Twitter in the wake of t ...

At the end of her five-year contract, Kirsten opted to not renew her contract with the series, one reason being her pilot had been picked up for the primetime show Clubhouse. Her final episode aired on July 15, 2004.
More Details Hide Details Clubhouse was a prime-time television series that aired on CBS starting the fall of 2004, created by Daniel Cerone and produced by Aaron Spelling. The series revolved around Pete Young (Jeremy Sumpter) and his dream of becoming a professional baseball player. Storms played Pete's sister, Betsy. Unlike the innocent character of Belle that Kirsten had just left, Betsy was a rebellious teenager often finding herself in trouble over such issues as sex, drugs, and alcohol. Storms embraced the new role, stating, "I can relate to a lot of things Betsy does. I've sat and talked with the executive producer about my first tattoo and the first time I ever had a drink of alcohol, things that she's going to be experiencing too." The show ended up being cancelled after 5 episodes. It shot 11 episodes, and can be viewed on "Brilliant, But Cancelled" on cable TV.
