Watch the first trailer for ‘Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee’ season 9
Yahoo News - about 2 months
2016 has been an incredibly fraught year, but at least Jerry Seinfeld is attempting to end it on a positive note with the release of the first trailer for the ninth season of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee . By the time the new season begins, it will only have been six months since the eighth season concluded. As with each of the past three seasons, Seinfeld will be joined by six guests in season 9: Kristen Wiig, Norm Macdonald, Cedric the Entertainer, Lewis Black, Bob Einstein and Christoph Waltz. You could argue that Waltz isn't exactly a comedian, but neither was President Obama, and that still worked out pretty well . Take a sneak peek at the new season and the upcoming guests in the short trailer below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2lOLTQzNxUM 53 episodes of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee have aired to date. Although there has been some talk of Seinfeld exploring other options outside of the Crackle streaming service, the two parties appear to have reached a deal, as the nin ...

Kristen Wiig Is A Comedy Goddess In This Deleted 'SNL' Sketch
Huffington Post - 3 months
Kristen Wiig plays a self-deprecating goddess who seems to have all the best ideas for populating the planet in this “Saturday Night Live” sketch that was cut for time. As the creature pitch process wears on, Wiig’s celestial colleagues (Vanessa Bayer and Kate McKinnon) get a little miffed at her approval rate. But maybe if they had come up with flamingoes, like Wiig’s goddess, they’d get a little more respect. -- This feed and its contents are the property of The Huffington Post, and use is subject to our terms. What’s behind the Dakota pipeline protests?
Yahoo News - 3 months
At least 17 protesters were taken to the hospital after authorities used tear gas, rubber bullets and water hoses to disperse a crowd of 400 people who had gathered there in subfreezing temperatures. Some were treated for hypothermia, organizers said, drawing the ire of critics, including Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, who urged President Obama to protect the safety of those peacefully protesting the Dakota Access pipeline. The clash between protesters and police came a day after actress Kristen Wiig asked viewers of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” to “please stand with Standing Rock,” the Sioux Indian tribe whose reservation lies near the pipeline route.

Kristen Wiig's Surprise Lady Can't Contain Her Excitement In Hilarious 'SNL' Skit
Huffington Post - 3 months
Kristen Wiig has us so freakin’ effin excited!  The actress reprised her role as Sue the Surprise Lady on “Saturday Night Live” this weekend and it was awesome. Wiig was in top form in the skit, which sees her trying to contain her excitement after learning that Paul, who serves in the military, is coming home to surprise his mom for the holidays. Of course, she has no chill and can’t keep her feelings under control.  The best part? Watching Leslie Jones try her hardest not to break character as Wiig prances around the room with stiff legs. Michael Che Definitely Dropped The N-Word During The 'Saturday Night Live' Premiere
Huffington Post - 5 months
We can’t imagine Lorne Michaels is too impressed with “Saturday Night Live” cast member Michael Che right now.  During “Weekend Update” on last night’s Season 42 premiere of the sketch comedy show, Che dropped the n-word while discussing Colin Kaepernick’s protest of the national anthem. The comedian and his “Weekend Update” co-host, Colin Jost, debated “The Star-Spangled Banner,” with Jost admitting he liked the anthem and Che siding with Kaepernick.  Che asked, “If the national anthem was so important, how did they know somebody was kneeling?” before adding, “That’s how boring the national anthem is ― halfway through it you’re looking around the stadium, like, ‘I wonder what the backup quarterback for the 49ers is up to.’”  The comedian continued, saying “it’s mostly white guys that are upset,” which he understands “because this country has always been great for white guys.”  “You absolutely should defend the National Anthem. If I was white, I’d always d ...
