'Beauty And The Beast' Renewed
Huffington Post - almost 4 years
The CW has renewed "Beauty And The Beast" for a second season. The freshman drama, a grittier take on the classic fairy tale, won the 2013 People's Choice Award for Best New Drama. Still, "Beauty And The Beast" struggled a bit to find success in the ratings, and was on the renewal bubble. The show has averaged about 1.5 million viewers per episode and only scored a 0.6 in the 18-49 demo. The series, which stars Kristin Kreuk and Jay Bunyan in its titular roles, follows "The Vampire Diaries" on Thursdays nights. The CW had already given early renewals to "The Vampire Diares," "Supernatural" and "Arrow." Along with the "Beauty And The Beast" news on Friday, the network revealed that "Hart of Dixie" has been renewed and the "Vampire Diaries" spinoff, "The Originals" has been ordered to series. The CW had canceled long-running dramas "90210" and "Gossip Girl" earlier in the season, along with freshman series "Emily Owens, M.D." and "Cult." The fates of "Nikita" and " ...

Beauty Kristin Kreuk Meets Beast, talks new CW Show
Boom Tron - over 4 years
A couple of Beauty and the Beast items to share with you today that we have from the CW, featuring former Smallville Ms. Lana Thang Lang Kristin Kreuk, tackling a role she’s ultimately qualified for, Beauty. Above is a clip called “Confrontation” from the series premiere (debuting on the CW in October 11th), and no it’s not Kreuk’s Catherine Chandler kicking butt  like in a previous B&B teaser, but instead, shows her meeting Jay Ryan’s titular (but not at all literal) “beast”. The second item (below) is an interview featurette from Beauty and the Beast. As noted above, Kreuk is looking rather righteous in the interview, and the pilot, which I’ve seen, isn’t as bad as I think some would guess off-hand. Beauty and the Beast is going to get every chance, being lead in by the CW’s current flagship show, The Vampire Diaries. Beauty Kristin Kreuk Meets Beast, talks new CW Show

Vampire Diaries Season 4 – Grace for April, Nina Dobrev’s Friend
Boom Tron - over 4 years
The Vampire Diaries has locked up the second of its two major new characters announced for its upcoming fourth season. Cute Grace Phipps, who you may have caught as Amy on ABC Family’s The Nine Lives of Chloe King, will be Mystic Falls’ April, a girl with past ties to both the Gilberts,  Nina Dobrev’s Elena and Steven R. McQueen’s Jeremy. April is coming back to town from private school after the death of her father, and it sounds like Nina Dobrev is going to try to shield her from some of the town’s supernatural oddities, which now includes Dobrev herself after the events of last season. related |VAMPIRE DIARIES SEASON 4 – THE NINA DOBREV STATUS AND IAN SOMERHALDER Last week we got the word that the role  of Connor, a vampire hunter, the other character announced to be on his way to Mystic Falls, would be filled by Todd Williams. Like Williams, Grace Phipps will make her Vampire Diaries debut in the second episode of the upcoming season. Phipps isn’t a complete stranger to vampi ...

Vampire Diaries Season 4′s Vampire Hunter Connor Revealed – Nina Dobrev watch out!
Boom Tron - over 4 years
Todd Williams is going to be getting his vampire hunt on come this fall in CW’s The Vampire Diaries. The beginning of the month brought word that two major  new characters were coming to Mystic Falls for Vampire Diaries season 4, characters we knew as Connor and April, the former being described as  a “scary hot” actor to play a “highly trained killing machine”. We learned a week later that Connor was a vampire hunter and this immediately put him on my hate list due to my overprotective feelings for the ridiculously hot Nina Dobrev.  related | VAMPIRE DIARIES SEASON 4 – NINA DOBREV A FREAKY VAMP Williams will be debuting in Vampire Diaries as Connor in the upcoming fourth season’s second episode. You’ve seen Williams work if you were a fan of either In Plain Site or Chicago Code. You will now see him set against (probably) Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, and/or Nina Dobrev and probably has to be a bigger badass in tone than Alaric. As long as the Winchester brothers or Buffy don’t ...

CW Picks Up 'Carrie Diaries,' Cancels 'Secret Circle'
MTV News - almost 5 years
by Elizabeth Lancaster It's a good day to be Carrie Bradshaw! "The Carrie Diaries" has officially been picked up by The CW and will be coming soon to a small screen near you, Deadline reports. The series follows a young Carrie through her trials and tribulations as a high school student in the 1980s. Similar to its more mature predecessor "Sex and the City," Carrie will ask questions about love, sex, friends and family. AnnaSophia Robb plays the titular aspiring writer while Chloe Bridges and Austin Butler co-star. Also ordered to series is the re-imagined "Beauty and the Beast." Kristin Kreuk is back on the channel as the looker and will surely bring with her a faithful legion of fans. But most likely, the show's killer storyline will bring in more than enough viewers on its own. Missing from the list of pilot pickups is "The Selection," based on the dystopian novel by Kiera Cass and starring "Friday Night Lights" actress Aimee Teegarden. And in other disappointing news, TVL ...
