    More Details Hide Details Since the biological mother Sitt-î Mükrîme (Sitt-ee Mû’kārîmā) Khātûn of the Ottoman Sultan Bayezid II had died fourteen years before his accession to the Ottoman throne, Amînā Gül-Bahār Khātûn acquired the equivalent title of Vâlidā Sultân (since Ayşe Hafsa (A’ishā Hâfîzā) Sultâna being the First Valide Sultân as equivalent to the Queen Mother) for eleven years as the widow Khātûn of Fatih Sultan Mehmed Khan and the stepmother of the eighth Ottoman Sultan, namely Bayezid II Khan. She entered the Imperial Harem in about 1446, exerted some influence, played an important part in the life of the Harem as the first wife of Fatih Sultan Mehmed Khan and the stepmother of Sultan Bayezid II Khan in the history of the Ottoman Dynasty.
