Lacrosse Splits Games
After losing their opening game against Minuteman the Mystic Valley Eagles lacrosse team split their next two games beating Greater Lowell and then losing to North Shore/Essex Aggie.
The Eagles got their first win of the season against Greater Lowell by a score of 15-10. The Eagles fell behind 2-0 early in the game, but responded and took a 7-3 lead at the half. Senior midfielder Jimmy Rossi led all scorers with 8 goals and 3 assists (one point shy of school record for points in a game). Jayden Jean had 2 goals and 2 assists, Marc Toomajian had 2 goals and 4 assists, and 7th grader Jack Ryan scored his first varsity goal to round out the scoring. Brandon Kelso, Robby DeSantis and Joe Daley all played well defensively and Zak Stour made 11 saves in net. The Eagles enjoyed a 15-5 lead in the fourth quarter before the Griffins put on a late run to cut the lead to 5.
