Ciara And Future On A Date In Beverly Hills?
MTV News - about 4 years
By Georgette Pierre Ciara’s future looks bright, or so it seems at the moment. According to Rap-Up, the singer was seen in Beverly Hills having dinner with fellow Atlanta native, Future. Rumors have been spreading that the two were an item ever since Ciara hopped on the remix of Future’s “Turn on the Lights," with him returning the favor on her track “Sorry.” Although Ciara has never been too open about her relationships, she’s definitely not afraid of love (like she says 50 Cent is). She's set to appear on an upcoming episode of MTV’s "This Is How I Made It" airing Saturday January 12, at 12 pm. As far as Future is concerned, he’s staying busy, working on his new album Future Hendrix. The album will feature collaborations with Ciara, Kanye West, Kelly Rowland, and Jeremih. He’s also prepping his mixtape set to drop this Sunday (January 13) under the new union of FreeBandz/Epic Records, a merger that took place last month. The "Tony Montana” rapper seems to be happy with the ...

Shira Lazar: Chris Rene Reveals Life and Music After The X Factor (VIDEO)
Huffington Post - over 4 years
Having just released his debut album, I'm Right Here, on October 2, singer-songwriter Chris Rene stops by What's Trending to perform his original tune, "Rockin' With You," and take questions from loyal fans, a.k.a. Reneliens. Chris had only been sober for 10 weeks and was working as a trash collector when he auditioned for the first season of X Factor USA. His performance of the original, autobiographical song "Young Homie," launched him into overnight stardom and he went on to finish third in the competition, soon after signing with show mentor, LA Reid, and Epic Records. Off the bat, Chris identifies "Tidal Wave" -- available for purchase exclusively on iTunes -- as a song that is particularly close to his heart. "It's basically about what this last eight months has been in my life, with my recovery, my sons -- being away from them, being on the road and not seeing family," he says. While the schedule and pressures of working in the music industry can be demanding ...

Rap Genius: Album Review: Rick Ross' God Forgives, I Don't
Huffington Post - over 4 years
by Aarica West If you've got it, flaunt it; and even if you don't, front like you do. At least, this is what Rick Ross successfully embodies. Although much of what he raps about seems to be a fabricated, fanciful lifestyle, it's clear that Ross has raw, undeniable talent; and enough confidence to show us how "bawse" he is, or claims to be. After dropping his mixtape, Rich Forever, which some regard as the best rap of the year, he's back this summer with the highly anticipated album God Forgives, I Don't. Though it leaked online six days before hitting the stores, Ricky Rozay didn't trip. He took the leak as an opportunity to further promote his fifth studio album. He sent out a slew of tweets which featured hashtags such as, "#GFID Scorsese approved. #GFID Scorsese approved. #GFID." According to xxlmag.com, this fifteen-track album has eleven features, thirty-seven Maybach Music drops, and a whopping eighty-seven of Rozay's infamous "huuughs". Approaching the album l ...

Britney Spears Tease from The X-Factor Season 2
Boom Tron - over 4 years
Ah, old school Britney was something, right? The X-Factor returns to the U.S. for its second season this fall with a pair of new judges in Britney Spears and Demi Lovato, and FOX has released a special promo for one of them, Spears, in her full judgement mode. Looks like Britney Spears, whose rise to fame I grew up in, isn’t holding back punches and might be out throwing the usual source of honesty, Simon Cowell. Lovato and Spears are, of course, are replacing last season’s Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger on the judge panel. related | DEMI LOVATO BRITNEY SPEARS X-FACTOR COMBO? Cowell, Lovato and Spears will be joined by LA Reid when X-Factor returns to FOX on September 12th. I think we are still awaiting the announcement of a host for next season, as Steven Jones was also let go. Cowell has previously  stated that there would be two hosts next season. I’m guessing we will see a Demi Lovato edition soon. Britney Spears Tease from The X-Factor Season 2

Lesleyann Coker: Simon Cowell Bets Big on Britney Spears and Demi Lovato for X Factor Season 2
Huffington Post - over 4 years
Simon Cowell is making a bold bet Britney Spears and Demi Lovato will increase viewers and propel the second season of Fox's reality competition, X Factor, into a ratings hit. Before a single episode of the British import aired in the U.S. last fall, Cowell, its creator and executive producer, predicted it would draw 20 million viewers and best American Idol, Cowell's former series. Instead, X Factor ended its first season with a respectable, though not spectacular, 12.67 million viewers. It finished the 2011-2012 television season as the 19th highest rated program, well behind American Idol's second place finish with 19.81 viewers. Though Cowell ate humble pie after his inflated ratings predictions, his wallet didn't suffer. After signing a partnership with Sony to tether the show to his own production company, Syco Entertainment, Cowell raked in $42 million. With so much at stake, it was a no brainer Fox would bring the show back for a second season, albeit one ...
