The Most Influential Celebrity Baby Names Of 2015
Huffington Post - about 1 year
Some of most popular names in the U.S. today prove that celebrities influence baby name trends. Nicole Richie’s Harlow, Gwen Stefani’s Kingston, and half of the names chosen by the Jolie-Pitts have risen in popularity thanks to famous families. High profile birth announcements can take an already rising name and put it on more parents' short lists, like Channing Tatum’s Everly. Or it can transform an obscure choice, like Marlowe, into everyone’s new favorite. As 2015 draws to a close, Nameberry takes a look at the celebrity baby name choices likely to influence baby naming in 2016 and beyond. Charlotte One of biggest celebrity stories of 2015 was the birth of Her Royal Highness, Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge. Just days after Charlotte’s birth was announced, we learned that the name had cracked the U.S. top 10. It’s a classic choice, not a trendy one, but it’s still a name to watch in 2016. Xavier Toby: Australian Federal Election Time - It's a Race to the Bottom
Huffington Post - over 3 years
Liberal or Labor? Anyone else feel like it's being asked to choose between lethal injection or the electrical chair? Trying to decide who I'm going to vote for this election has been tricky, but I think I've come up with a method that might work. First I'm going think of Tony Abbott, and vomit into a bucket. Then I'll think of Kevin Rudd, and vomit into a different bucket. Whichever bucket contains the least spew, that's who'll win my vote. I haven't been this depressed about a federal election since the last time there was a federal election. Back then we didn't even properly decide. We had one job, to choose Liberal or Labor, and we got a hung parliament. We made Bob Katter one of the most powerful men in the country, and expecting him to do anything sensibly is like asking a hat to drive a car. Which apparently Katter's hat can do - just ask him. According to Katter there's also no homosexuality in rural Australia and cows are more important than people and oxyg ...

PHOTOS: Does Jennifer Lawrence' Dior Outfit Look Good Without Photoshop?
Huffington Post - almost 4 years
When Jennifer Lawrence's Dior ad campaign debuted, we were a little nonplussed. She looked very pretty but yet so... unnatural. Not at all her vivacious self. It came as no surprise when Lawrence admitted, "That doesn’t look like me at all... Of course it’s Photoshop, people don’t look like that." So what might those sleek Dior outfits -- particularly that peculiar veil -- look like on a real, non-airbrushed human? Allow Aussie celeb Lara Bingle to demonstrate. Bingle walked the red carpet at the 2013 Prix de Marie Claire Awards in Sydney wearing the same Dior veil and collar Lawrence donned in her ads, paired with a dress version of the black tuxedo jacket Lawrence had worn. Lara also had a very, um, distinct accessory: a borderline orange tan that shone brightly thought her black face netting. Does this outfit work in real life -- or more specifically, without Photoshop? Check it out in the photos below. Lara Bingle's outfit IRL: Jennifer Lawrence's ad ...

LOOK: How Alicia Keys Plans A Stress-Free Move
Huffington Post - almost 4 years
What's the easiest way to move furniture out of a Manhattan apartment? Ask Alicia Keys. The singer has apparently hired a crane to remove her stuff from the Soho penthouse she shares with husband Swizz Beatz, reports TMZ. The two purchased this condo from Lenny Kravitz in 2010, but The New York Post says the couple is crossing the Hudson River to move into Eddie Murphy's former Englewood, New Jersey mansion. Keys is not the only celeb that has employed these extreme logistics to relocate furniture. Our favorite designer from 'Million Dollar Decorators,' Martyn Lawrence Bullard, also used heavy machinery to lower a 3,000 pound marble table into Jimmy Choo co-founder Tamara Mellon's NYC home on the show's second season premiere. And model Lara Bingle had several large scale pieces delivered by crane to her sixth floor apartment, Australian news outlet News.com reported, while she was seen laughing at the antics from her balcony.
