Charlie Sheen: Selma Blair Was "Written Out" of Anger Management, Not Fired
US Magazine - over 3 years
Fired or written off? Three months after the fact, Charlie Sheen addressed his Anger Management costar Selma Blair's controversial exit from the show during an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno Wednesday, Sept. 11. In June, Lionsgate, which produces the FX sitcom, said in a statement, "We are confirming that Selma Blair will not be returning to Anger Management and we wish her the very best." At the time, Deadline claimed that Sheen, 48, fired Blair, 41, in an expletive-filled text after Blair reportedly took issue with the former Two and a Half Men star's on-set behavior. PHOTOS: Stars who've been fired Sheen, however, has a difference version of the story. "One of our primary characters, Selma Blair, who played Kate, was written out because [the show] was not about our relationship, and the problem was too many people were still excited about the Two and a Half [Men] character and thinking the Anger Management character was a little dull," Sheen explained to Ja ...

The "Legally Blonde: The Musical" star will play Charlie's (Sheen) new sex study research partner, Dr. Jordan Denby, on the FX comedy. Jeryl Brunner: What You Probably Didn't See (or Hear) at This Year's Tony Awards
Huffington Post - over 4 years
I love Oscar Wilde's poignant take on theater. He once said, "I regard the theater as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being." And when you're a theater geek like me, there's nothing like the 66th Annual Tony awards to bring out your inner theater geekiness. As Hugh Jackman said in the Tony Awards press room after he was presented with a special Tony for his extraordinary contribution the Broadway community, "the Tonys is the greatest show. It's Broadway's greatest hits in one night." I had the opportunity to cover last Sunday's festivities at the Beacon Theater in New York City. Here's what I discovered. When asked, most actors can recall the first time they appeared on stage... JOHN LITHGOW: I grew up in a theater family, so I was acting before I even remember. I was one of Nora's children in A Doll's House when I was about 2 ½ years-old. I don't remember anything ...

But what was up with Cynthia Nixon's cowl neck? And I thought Jessica Chastain's long-sleeved, high-neck, knee-length dress was rather dumpy.  [Photos: Los Angeles Times] Matthew McConaughey wed long-time love Camila Alves in a sunset ceremony on Saturday at their home in Austin, Texas. The groom reportedly wore a suit from Dolce & Gabbana; the bride, a gown from an unnamed Brazilian designer and Stuart Weitzman shoes. [People] Leah Michele wore a backless Pucci and squeezed hands with Cory Monteith at the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball in Los Angeles on Saturday. The two "Glee" costars were coy when asked if marriage plans may be in the offing. "You're going to have to wait and see," Monteith reportedly said. The ball, founded by Eric Dane of "Grey's Anatomy" and his wife Rebecca Gayheart Dane, raised $1 m ...
