Charlie Sheen: Selma Blair Was "Written Out" of Anger Management, Not Fired

Fired or written off? Three months after the fact, Charlie Sheen addressed his Anger Management costar Selma Blair's controversial exit from the show during an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno Wednesday, Sept. 11.
In June, Lionsgate, which produces the FX sitcom, said in a statement, "We are confirming that Selma Blair will not be returning to Anger Management and we wish her the very best." At the time, Deadline claimed that Sheen, 48, fired Blair, 41, in an expletive-filled text after Blair reportedly took issue with the former Two and a Half Men star's on-set behavior.

Sheen, however, has a difference version of the story.
"One of our primary characters, Selma Blair, who played Kate, was written out because [the show] was not about our relationship, and the problem was too many people were still excited about the Two and a Half [Men] character and thinking the Anger Management character was a little dull," Sheen explained to Ja
