Justin Bieber Home Investigation: No Egging Evidence Found
The Hollywood Gossip - about 3 years
Justin Bieber was arrested for one crime last Thursday. But will he get away with another? On the heels of his DUI arrest, the singer finally received some good news over the weekend: According to TMZ insiders, the L.A. County Sheriff's Department sifted through various items it confiscated from Bieber's home... and did not find any evidence linking Justin to the alleged egging of his neighbor's home from earlier this month. Days after the incident supposedly took place, authorities executed a search warrant, sending multiple police cruisers to Bieber's Calabasas mansion in order to collect the artist's cell phone and some surveillance video. They hoped to find text messages Bieber sent bragging about the egg hurling and/or footage from Justin's own security cameras that would have depicted this criminal act. But they have come away empty-handed. Bieber's neighbor claims the superstar tossed at least 20 eggs against his home a few weeks ago, causing ...

'Love & Hip-Hop' Overcomes Backlash
Huffington Post - almost 4 years
ATLANTA — Mona Scott-Young used to wake up in cold sweat at night, wondering if she made the right decision to leave her list of high-profile hip-hop clients to branch off and create reality television shows. That's a dilemma the creator of the popular reality series "Love & Hip-Hop" on VH1 doesn't have to worry about anymore. "I was leaving something that I had built for nearly 20 years of my life," recalled Scott-Young, who was the co-founder of Violator Management with the late Chris Lighty. Their company represented some of music's top artists from LL Cool J to 50 Cent and Missy Elliot. Feeling complacent and unfulfilled, Scott-Young left Violator and started her own film production company, Monami Entertainment. The fear was strong, she said, "But it was exhilarating to start over because I had a new lease on life, venturing into territories unknown for me and just starting from scratch." "Love & Hip-Hop," created with Jim Ackerman, is broken ...

MTV News - over 4 years
Lil Scrappy is back, and in a major way. The Dirty South MC will star will VH1's new reality series "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta," premiering Monday (June 18); will release his new album, The Grustle, on June 26; and will make his first "RapFix Live" appearance on Wednesday. VH1's 'Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta' gets dirty
LATimes - over 4 years
VH1 really seems to be following the old adage “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” Amid growing criticism of its latest season of “Basketball Wives,” the network is introducing yet another title in a booming roster of provocative programs slanted toward African American viewers wanting to wallow in the behind-the-scenes drama (quite evidently, there is a ton) that goes on with women attached to the music and sports worlds. “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta,” a spin-off of the popular New York based docu-series in which slapping, drink throwing and hair pulling became a plot point, is set to premiere on the network on Monday. The 10-episode series is anchored in a new crop of industry players: Grammy Award-winning producer Stevie J (Diddy, Jay-Z, Mariah Carey), his girlfriend, Mimi Faust, and his protégée, an up-and-coming Latina rapper named Joseline; rapper Lil Scrappy, his girlfriend, Erica Dixon, and his mother, a former hustler known as “Momma Dee”; Atlanta rapper Rasheeda, her man ...
