Danielle Fishel On Topanga, Linda Cardellini And Growing Up Onscreen
Huffington Post - over 3 years
When "Boy Meets World" hit ABC in 1993, Danielle Fishel became Topanga Lawrence to the world. From that moment on, she was forever linked to her onscreen high school sweetheart Cory Matthews (Ben Savage), and 20 years later everyone still calls her "Topanga." In honor of the DVD release of "Boy Meets World: The Complete Collection" and the premiere of "Girl Meets World" (premiering on the Disney Channel in 2014), Fishel opened up to The Huffington Post about what to expect from "Girl Meets World," being Topanga, her relationship with her co-stars and more. What was it like growing up onscreen? Wonderful! I don’t have any complaints. Even during the years when I was awkward-looking or overweight, it didn’t really worry me that millions of people were watching me go through it. I get my self-worth from within, not external validation, so I just look at all those years as scripted home movies. You've said you're really enjoying working with Ben Savage again. Huffington Post - over 3 years
Carrie Preston is back on "The Good Wife" and she's ... on a treadmill. Preston returns to "The Good Wife" for the Sunday, Oct. 20 episode as Elsbeth Tascioni, the kooky lawyer who's become the go-to attorney when Lockhart/Gardner find themselves in times of need. See for yourself above. The "True Blood" star recently took home an Emmy for her work on "The Good Wife" and told The Huffington Post she didn't think she'd beat out the likes of Jane Fonda and Margo Martindale to take home the award. "I honestly didn't think I was going to win," Preston said in a phone interview. "At the Creative Arts, they don't give you very much time to give the speech and my award was way, way into the ceremony, so I was sitting there going, 'Oh my gosh, if I do happen to win, I better be brief.' People were running down the aisles to get up on the stage to say their speech. I was kind of thinking, if I win, I hope I'm going to be able to get through this without the scary Emmy music. When my name ...

Nickelodeon Wants More Sanjay And Craig For Next Year
Boom Tron - over 3 years
Nickelodeon, it would appear, loves Sanjay and Craig as much as everyone else as it is giving the freshman series the chance to strut around with a second season renewal. There’s no denying the animated comedy is a little on the silly side – there’s plenty of gross jokes and slapstick humor – but it’s also smart in the way it doesn’t treat its target audience like, well, kids. It doesn’t talk down to anyone and just simply is. Because of that, there are some adults who give the series their blessing. That’s pretty awesome when you think about it. Few children’s programs can be tolerated by grown ups. According to THR, Sanjay and Craig was given a 20 episode order for its second season, just in time for the final eight episodes of Season 1 to begin airing – Sept. 14 is date the series returns after taking a two month break. The series debuted with back-to-back episodes, raking in 3.6 million in viewers on May 25. Season 2 will air sometime in 2014 and will likely be just as great ...

Get Ready For Plinko Overload
Huffington Post - over 3 years
A whole hour of Plinko? Believe it. According to Buzzfeed, CBS' beloved game show "The Price Is Right" taped an entire episode of contestants playing only Plinko. Then they toss their chips down a peg board of slots that can send them home with up to $10,000. According to CBS, the episode was filmed in honor of the 30th anniversary of the game. “When we realized it was the 30th anniversary of Plinko, we wanted to do something special,” executive producer Mike Richards said. “And [host] Drew [Carey] and I have always wanted to do an all-Plinko show. This seemed like the perfect opportunity to keep trotting it out.” On the air since 1972, "The Price Is Right" was a debut television experience for a few well-known actors, including "Breaking Bad's" Aaron Paul and "Mad Men" star Linda Cardellini. The Women Are Winning On 'Mad Men'
Popeater - over 3 years
NEW YORK — Breaking up is hard to do. That is, unless you're "Mad Men," which this season has been free-and-easy in its fragmentation. By now Peggy Olson and her radical beau are splitsville. So are Pete Campbell and wife Trudy, who caught him philandering one too many times. Twice-wed Roger Sterling, currently solo, saw his knotty relationship with his mom torn asunder with her death this season, and he's alienated from his daughter and grandson. And don't forget the latest romantic entanglement of Don Draper, whose marriage to winsome Megan seemed on suicide watch as, every chance he got, he scorched the sheets with downstairs neighbor Sylvia (wife of Don's presumed friend Dr. Arnold Rosen). The only notable coming-together: the stormy merger of Sterling, Cooper, Draper and Pryce with former rival ad agency Cutler, Gleason and Chaough, which has assembled a bickering band of ad execs only slightly more collegial than either house of Congress. Is the unm ...

Linda Cardellini: 'What You See On Screen Isn't Actually What She Sees On Set'
Huffington Post - over 3 years
Linda Cardellini has been the talk of "Mad Men" Season 6. The "Freaks & Geeks" alumna joined the critically-acclaimed AMC series as Don Draper's (Jon Hamm) mistress and neighbor Sylvia Rosen. In a recent "Mad Men" episode, the s*** hit the fan when Sally (Kiernan Shipka) walked in on the two of them having sex, prompting young Sally to explode at her father. "Well, the good thing about that is that when Kiernan walks in, what you see on screen isn't actually what she sees on set," Cardellini explained of the shocking "Mad Men" scene during a recent visit to HuffPost Live. "What we were doing while she was reacting to that is not exactly as explicit as it is on screen. So that's the nice thing about acting sometimes is that you don't have to actually experience the things as the characters do." Shipka recently opened up about the traumatic scene, telling Vulture, "The whole thing about acting in general, whether other actors are there with you or not, is that it's ...
