478-Million-Year-Old Spiky Slug Solves Long-Held Mollusk Mystery
Yahoo News - 16 days
The specimens — seven in all — were discovered in the late 2000s by Mohamed 'Ou Said' Ben Moula, a self-taught fossil collector who has uncovered hundreds, if not thousands, of specimens with fossilized soft tissues in Morocco's Fezouata Biota. Ben Moula has a working relationship with paleontologists at Yale University, and shipped the fossils to Yale, in Connecticut, so they could be studied. "I describe them as an armored, spiny slug with one single shell at the head end," said the study's co-lead researcher, Luke Parry, a doctoral student in the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Bristol in England.

This Isn't Your Parent's Riverdale
Huffington Post - 30 days
Adaptations are tricky. They can either go horribly, HORRIBLY wrong or they can be a surprise hit. There doesn't seem to be any middle ground. This is especially true if the property being adapted is something that has been beloved for generations. The key to any good adaptation is to be different, to give it something the audience hasn't seen before, to be unique. But at the same time, it must stay true to the heart of the original property. When I first heard that The CW was going to be airing a television series based on the Archie Comic books called Riverdale my first thought was "Why?" The comics are bright, cartoony, and all about clean good-natured fun. They're about as Americana as you can get and I wasn't quite sure how it would translate into a live-action medium. The answer is... perfectly. Produced by Greg Berlanti (Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow eat), Riverdale is a dark and dramatic take on the wholesomeness that the "town with pep" is known for and it's icon ...

Juan Pablo Bach Recap Ep 4: Johnny Pabs Is a Seoul Man
Huffington Post - about 3 years
On Monday the thirteen remaining ladies and Johnny Pabs packed their suitcases and headed for the land of K Pop, Gangham Style, and marketplaces that sell the horrifying delicacies from Fear Factor: South Korea! Upon learning that they are heading to Seoul, South Korea, California hairdresser Clare exclaimed, "Korea -- I don't even have a Kimono!" but I'm sure she meant a hanbok (the tradition garment for formal events in Korea, as we ALL know). Johnny Pabs travels alone (like a Venzuelan rolling stone) and roams the streets of Seoul solo while the ladies make the trip together while shrieking, smiling and being so damn American all along the way. The first date card arrives to their hotel suite in Seoul and it just says "Pop" from JP. The group date will be Chelsie, Cassandra, Elise, Danielle, Kat, and Nikki (as I noticed immediately, majority blonde). Cassandra wonders if the "pop" clue means that their group date will involve popcorn, apparently forgetting that Chris Harrison JUS ...

PHOTO: Jennie Garth Looks Gorgeous Without Makeup On Set Of New Movie
Huffington Post - about 4 years
Jennie Garth doesn't look a day over Kelly Taylor. Garth looked gorgeous as ever without makeup while filming her new movie, "Home Again." The former "Beverly Hills, 90210" star was photographed walking on the Toronto, Canada, set wearing no makeup, a Big Gigantic hoodie and black sweatpants, according to Us Weekly. The hoodie was a possible shout-out to Garth's rumored boyfriend, Jeremy Salken, who plays drums for the indie band. With her blond hair clipped on top of her head, the actress looked like a starlet half her age. The 40-year-old mother of three has certainly undergone a transformation since divorcing her husband of 11 years, actor Peter Facinelli. Her former "90210" co-star, Jason Priestley, called Garth's body makeover a result of the "heartbreak diet." "You spend a little time in Heartbreak Hotel, that's what happens. Heartbreak Hotel diet is a good one," Priestley joked with People magazine on Monday. These days, Garth is reportedly "smitt ...

Jeremy Salken: Dating Jennie Garth!
The Hollywood Gossip - about 4 years
Jennie Garth has officially moved on from her divorce. The ex-Beverly Hills, 90210 actress is reportedly dating musician Jeremy Salken, a source tells People, confirming the pair met in October and partied together on New Year's Eve. Garth split in March from husband Peter Facinelli and has since been linked to a number of men, including former costar Luke Perry. But Garth posted a photo of herself and Salken to Instagram recently, including with it praise for the drummer's band, Big Gigantic. "@biggiantic blows it out the house!!!!!!!!!" she wrote. "#lovechicago #happynewyearyall" Garth, who has looked disturbingly skinny since her divorce, said this summer that she's petrified to date again. But it looks like she's conquered that fear.
