Liz Smith: Frank Sinatra -- He Did it... Ava's Way! Also -- Awarding Jackie Bisset -- Celebrating Arlene Dahl -- A Thank You From Jane Fonda
Huffington Post - over 3 years
"I don't make people comfortable. But that's what couches are for!" said writer Donna Lynn Hope. Here is one extra tidbit gleaned from the brand new book about the late MGM star Ava Gardner. Writer Peter Evans talked, in London, with the movie star who has been named "the most beautiful woman ever." Armed Robbery Suspects Still at Large
Beverly Hills Patch - over 4 years
Beverly Hills police were led on a car and foot chase early Sunday by three men alleged to have committed an armed robbery. At about 1:45 a.m. Sunday morning three black men aged 20-25 allegedly robbed a victim at West Olympic Boulevard and South Beverly Drive, according to Beverly Hills Lt. Mark Rosen. The suspects used two handguns—one revolver and one automatic—to rob the victim of a wallet containing credit cards and $17 cash before fleeing the scene in a car, Rosen said. "The vehicle was spotted at Olympic and Robertson, and went south to Pico," Rosen said. When Beverly Hills police attempted to pursue the trio, they ditched their car and fled into the nearby residential neighborhood, according to Rosen. The Beverly Hills Police Department set up a perimeter with helicopter and canine assistance but was unable to apprehend the suspects, Rosen said. "The crime is still being investigated by our Detective Bureau," he said. Be sure to follow Beverly Hills Patch on Twit ...
