Warren leads in Portugal Masters as talk of 59 fades
Yahoo News - 4 months
Marc Warren took a one-shot lead at the Portugal Masters on Thursday but speculation that the European Tour could witness a round of 59 at the rough-free Victoria Clube de Golfe proved premature. Scotland's Warren began with six straight birdies but a bogey on the seventh stalled his momentum before he went on to make three further gains in an eight under par 63. Callum Shinkwin, David Lipsky, Eddie Pepperell, Matthew Baldwin and Mikko Korhonen are all a shot back.

Warren's cheap aid pays British Masters dividend
Yahoo News - 4 months
Scotland's Marc Warren moved into a share of the lead on Thursday's opening day of the British Masters thanks to a simple $40 (36 euros) training aid. Warren, who eagled the par five second hole on The Grove course north of London, produced a five-under-par 66 before being joined by Finland's Mikko Ilonen, England's Tommy Fleetwood and South African Richard Sterne atop the leaderboard in overcast, cold and windy conditions.

Southwest, Virgin America to gain some LaGuardia Airport rights from AA, US Airways
Canadian Business - about 3 years
DALLAS – The government will let Southwest Airlines and Virgin America buy takeoff and landing rights at New York’s LaGuardia Airport that American Airlines and US Airways agreed to sell to win approval for their merger. The airlines disclosed Thursday that the Federal Aviation Administration had approved transfer of the rights, which are also called slots, earlier this week. Slots are limited at the busy airport near Manhattan, making them a coveted item when they go on the market. Last month, American and US Airways agreed to give up some of their slots at LaGuardia and Washington’s Reagan National Airport to settle an antitrust lawsuit that the Justice Department filed to block their merger. Southwest will get to keep the rights for five takeoffs and landings per day that it was already leasing from American and gain enough slots for six more daily flights. Virgin America will get enough slots for six flights per day. Terms were not disclosed. In an order approving the tra ...
