What? More SNOW And Now Rain?
Caldenonia Patch - almost 4 years
Mother Nature can be a cruel, cruel woman. And she has been these last few weeks with her teasing us with warm days, then torturing us with seemingly unending rain and now a light blanketing of snow. According to the National Weather Service, a mixture of snow and sleet are expected today and tonight across southern Wisconsin. This slushy concoction is expected to accumulate up to one inch and then we are in for a possible thunderstorm this afternoon. While the thunderstorm isn't expected to be severe, there's a chance that the stronger thunderstorms may produce hail and wind gusts to 50 mph. A flood warning also remains in effect as many rivers and streams are near or above flood stage. So we noticed how frustrated you've become with Mother Nature's indecisiveness. Spokane doctor gets $600,000, apology from state for charges based on bogus tip from ex-wife
Fox News - over 4 years
A Spokane dermatologist won a $600,000 settlement and rare public apology from Washington state health officials who went public with charges of drug abuse and medical fraud based on a bogus tip from his ex-wife. The payment to Dr. William "Phil" Werschler is among the largest settlements in decades by the state Department of Health involving a physician, agency officials said. The public apology might be the first of its kind in the state. She ignited the investigation late in the couple's bitter divorce by filing an anonymous complaint studded with accusations of office cocaine binges, sex orgies with staff and patients, hiring prostitutes and falsification of medical drug records. The case decimated his practice and personal life, he told The Spokesman-Review last week. "Th ...

NYTimes - over 35 years
''In the rolling hills of a simple farming community, untouched by time, a gruesome secret has been protected for generations.'' So begins ''Deadly Blessing,'' which was shot in such a flat part of Texas that there isn't a rolling hill in sight, but never mind.
