THERE was a good turnout by Beverley AC Juniors in the 12th Kirkbymoorside 10k and fun run last Sunday. They had a choice of 1 mile, 5k and 10k distances and the hilly terrain tested them all. Teenagers Harry Powell and Conor Spilsbury both recorded excellent times in their debut 10k and show great promise for the future. Crowley Infant Died From Blunt Force Trauma

The Crowley toddler who died over the weekend from abuse died from blunt force trauma to the head, according to Acadia Parish Coroner Dr. Mark Dawson. Ja'Maria Lizas, 1, was unresponsive Saturday afternoon when police responded to Westwood Apartments. LaTonya Ismail, 27, is charged with first degree murder.
