Mark Collie
George Mark Collie is an American country music artist and occasional actor. He has released eight albums, and has charted 16 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. His highest peaking singles are "Even the Man in the Moon Is Cryin'" at #5, and "Born to Love You" at #6, from 1992 and 1993 respectively. Collie has also appeared in several films and television series, and has written songs for George Jones, Tim McGraw, Aaron Tippin and Garth Brooks.

Winder Police Make Several Arrests on Outstanding Warrants and Traffic Stops

A summary of incident reports provided by the Winder Police Department:  On Friday, Aug. 24, an officer arrested Jontize Giles, 21, of 1521 Peters Cemetery Road in Monroe, who was charged with probation violation.  On Saturday, Aug. 25, Winder police obtained information on a individual with an outstanding warrant currently residing at a Harrison Lane address. The individual had an active warrant through the city of Winder for failing to appear on a citation. Two officers went to the address and placed Michele Diane Colburn, 41, under arrest before transporting her to the Barrow County Detention Center.  An officer was traveling on King Street near Capitol Avenue on Saturday, Aug. 25, and ran the tag on a Ford Expedition. The tag returned as no longer being on the vehicle. When the officer stopped the vehicle, the driver said the tag was on a Tahoe he owned but the situation was already supposed to have been taken care of by the tag office.     In September 2013 Collie signed to 101 Ranch records and was the first artist signed to 101 Ranch records. "I'm thrilled to have a new home with 101 Ranch Records and to be working with a terrific team with Doug, Bob and Tammy," says Mark Collie. "There are some new and exciting projects coming up on the horizon that I look forward to debuting with the label."

In addition to his own recordings, Collie has produced or co-produced albums for Brandt Vogel, JT Hodges, Kyle Sherman and the Horn Family. Collie has acted in television series and movies, independent features and Hollywood feature films. Starting in 1994 and continuing to present Collie has played a variety of characters including in 1999, Johnny Cash in the short I Still Miss Someone which he also co-wrote and co-produced with filmmaker John Lloyd Miller. Collie has appeared as Frankie Gray on the ABC series Nashville. Collie was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes as a teenager and in the early 1990s after finding success as a country music singer Collie began a series of celebrity/NASCAR events that included Legend Car races and concerts that have raised millions of dollars for research into a cure for Type 1 juvenile diabetes. Collie's efforts have resulted in a research Chair at Vanderbilt University, The Mark Collie Chair in Diabetes Research, and his Mark Collie Foundation continues to generate donations.
