"Gilmore Girls: A Year In the Life" Has That Graham Girl and That Is Enough For Me
Huffington Post - 2 months
TV Review - Jackie K Cooper "Gilmore Girls: A Year In the Life" (Netflix) For years I have avoided watching "Gilmore Girls". All through its original run I dismissed it as something I wouldn't enjoy and something I had no interest in whatsoever. But then along came "Parenthood" and I became fascinated by Lauren Graham. I found her to be an enchanting actress and a bright personality in real life. She was the main reason I watched every episode of that show during its too short run. So when I heard she was doing an "update" of "Gilmore Girls" my interest was piqued. Here was a chance to see Graham again. I hesitated for a few weeks but then I plunged into it and bingewatched all four ninety minute episodes of the revival of "Gilmore Girls: A Year In the Life". It wasn't bad, and Graham was very, very good. For those of you who are in my boat and didn't know anything about these characters before this show, Graham plays Lorelai Gilmore, mother of Rory ...

Your College Boyfriend Logan Is Returning For The 'Gilmore Girls' Revival
Huffington Post - about 1 year
Filthy rich, stupid hot and the college boyfriend we all wish we'd had, Logan Huntzberger, is officially back for (Gil)more. According to TVLine, Matt Czuchry is set to return to Stars Hollow or whatever fancy apartment he let Rory squat in for the upcoming Netflix revival of the beloved WB series.  In a conversation earlier this week, "Gilmore Girls" creator Amy Sherman-Palladino shed some light on Rory's romantic status and hinted at Czuchry's, as well as some other "Gilmore" guy's, return. (Read: Jess Mariano).  "Our plan is to get as many of [Rory’s] lovely men back as possible," she told TVLine's Michael Ausiello. “We’re still dealing with who’s going to be in it. We definitely want to see them. And we have storylines planned. I just need someone to tell me they’re going to show up." "[Rory's] ... single in the sense that she’s not married," she added. The Good Wife's Josh Charles on Will's New Energy and Whether He Can Ever Forgive Alicia
Seattle Pi - over 3 years
After four years of riveting will-they-or-won't-they tension on The Good Wife, any possibility of a romantic future for Alicia (Julianna Margulies) and Will (Josh Charles) faded - at least for the foreseeable future - the minute he found out she was planning to leave the firm with Cary (Matt Czuchry) and take all of their top clients with her. Chicago's 16th most eligible bachelor did not walk away from that stinging betrayal empty-handed. Charles answered TVGuide.com's burning questions via email about Will's new energy, his "challenged" bond with Diane and whether he can ever forgive Alicia. Robert and Michelle King recently said that part of the reason they decided to have Alicia and Cary go out on their own was because they felt the stories about the love triangle were starting to feel repetitive. Will and Alicia were always close, so how has it been adjusting to going up against Julianna Margulies and playing such a radically different dynamic between these two characters? ...

"I feel like we're a bag of sweets and we've just been shaken all around now. Everybody loves watching the show and now you just don't know what you're going to get when you put your hand into the [bag], it'll be fun for us as actors to play, but really fun for the audience," Panjabi told The Huffington Post. Josh Charles (Will Gardner) called the episode one of the best scripts he's ever read for an hour of TV. "The performances are all really solid and it's just an electric piece of television, as you've seen. It just doesn't stop for 42 minutes … how they manag ...

'The Good Wife' Celebrates 100th Episode Milestone By Giving Back
Huffington Post - over 3 years
Forget the cake, the champagne and the red carpet: "The Good Wife" celebrated 100 episodes a little differently. The cast and crew assembled in the Far Rockaways, an area of New York hit hard by Hurricane Sandy one year ago, and helped rebuild homes affected by the storm. "[W]e realized how we'd want to spend a celebration to say, 'Wow, 100 episodes' -- which is such a milestone in television -- that we could give back and say thank you rather than take," series star Julianna Margulies told reporters on Saturday. "I think it's important for us to give back. We have so much." "The Good Wife" cast, crew and even the people higher up came together to raise more than $77,000 for the St. Bernard Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping disaster-impacted communities recover. Reese May, the East Coast director of operations for St. Bernard Project, said it's important to not forget many people are still suffering a year later. "['The Good Wife'] did a lot of work here in the ...

Carrie Preston On Her Return To 'The Good Wife,' Her Emmy Win & 'True Blood' Ending (EXCLUSIVE VIDEO)
Huffington Post - over 3 years
Carrie Preston is back on "The Good Wife" and she's ... on a treadmill. Preston returns to "The Good Wife" for the Sunday, Oct. 20 episode as Elsbeth Tascioni, the kooky lawyer who's become the go-to attorney when Lockhart/Gardner find themselves in times of need. See for yourself above. The "True Blood" star recently took home an Emmy for her work on "The Good Wife" and told The Huffington Post she didn't think she'd beat out the likes of Jane Fonda and Margo Martindale to take home the award. "I honestly didn't think I was going to win," Preston said in a phone interview. "At the Creative Arts, they don't give you very much time to give the speech and my award was way, way into the ceremony, so I was sitting there going, 'Oh my gosh, if I do happen to win, I better be brief.' People were running down the aisles to get up on the stage to say their speech. I was kind of thinking, if I win, I hope I'm going to be able to get through this without the scary Emmy music. When my name ...

"The Good Wife" is turning everything you know and love about the show on its head, and there's new energy and a brand new landscape for Season 5, according to series star Julianna Margulies. Season 4 of the critically-acclaimed CBS drama ended with Margulies' character, Alicia Florrick, opening her door and saying, "I'm in." She agreed to leave her law firm and start a new one with Cary Agos (Matt Czuchry). Season 5 (premieres Sunday, Sept. 29 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS) has been described as a "civil war" and a "bloodbath," with characters who were formerly close friends -- even lovers -- turning on each other. Who Wants A 'Good Wife' Spinoff?
Huffington Post - over 3 years
Carrie Preston will likely be back for "The Good Wife" Season 5 ... but what about a spinoff? After every appearance she makes on "The Good Wife," fans start the Elsbeth spinoff chatter. Preston's character Elsbeth Tascioni, a flighty lawyer who operates in her own little world, has become a fan-favorite guest star on the CBS drama. "There have been quite a lot of suggestions for an Elsbeth spinoff," Preston told EW. "Some of them involve [Kyle MacLachlan's character]; some of them involve Michael J. Fox’s character; some of them involve Martha Plimpton’s character. I take that as a big compliment. I am very flattered by that. My Twitter feed often lights up with Elsbeth spinoff suggestions, and I would certainly not be opposed to something like that. I just love playing the character, and it is really exciting that she has struck some kind of nerve in people that makes them want to see more of her." 'Being The Good Girl Doesn't Always Pay Off'
Huffington Post - almost 4 years
It's decision time on "The Good Wife": Will Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies) stand by her husband Peter (Chris Noth) or give into her temptations and rekindle her affair with Will (Josh Charles)? "I thought it was so cut and dry when I started this show, that she should not be with Peter at all after his behavior," Margulies told The Huffington Post in a phone interview earlier in the week. "But then came this moral dilemma: Can one forgive? Can one move on? Is there such a thing as redeeming oneself? It's not a black-and-white case." "The Good Wife" concludes Season 4 on Sunday, April 28 and the series will finally -- maybe? -- put the Alicia-Peter-Will love triangle to bed. The episode, titled "What's in the Box?," takes place over the span of 24-hours and features the results of the Illinois gubernatorial race that's gone on all season and Cary (Matt Czuchry) getting the helping hand he needs to start his own firm. Margulies said fans should buckle up and pre ...
