Megan Boone of The Blacklist Q&A: Star Talks Dancing, Krav Maga and Working With James Spader
US Magazine - about 3 years
She plays intense FBI agent Elizabeth Keen on NBC's The Blacklist, but Megan Boone is naturally humorous off-set, she tells Us Weekly in a recent Q&A. The Michigan native, 30, gives Us the scoop on what it's like working with James Spader, how she trains for the show's action-packed scenes, and what to expect from upcoming episodes.  US: What a hit! Now that it is back, what can we expect in the coming episodes? Megan Boone: You've got a lot that you're going to find out in this season, for sure. They are going to focus a lot on Tom’s relationship and on Red’s. [Elizabeth’s] past is very much intertwined with those story lines. And then a lot of new questions are going to come up as well. US: We can’t handle new questions! MB: If there are no new questions, there are no more presents to open! PHOTOS: The latest celebrity snapshots from Sundance! US: Fair enough! You had previously said that the first time you ran lines with James Spader you started choking on your ...

'The Blacklist' Star Ryan Eggold On Tom's Big Secrets & What's Ahead
Huffington Post - about 3 years
Ryan Eggold really doesn't want to spoil "The Blacklist" for you. On "The Blacklist," Eggold plays Tom, the nice-but-maybe-kind-of-murdery husband to main character Liz (Megan Boone). It's one of the biggest hits of the year and shows no sign of slowing down. While Season 2 has yet to get the green light, Eggold seems to know exactly where "The Blacklist" is heading. The actor stopped by The Huffington Post office to talk about playing a lurky maybe-killer, Tom's sex life and some major spoilers regarding the upcoming Nov. 25 episode. NOTE: Do not read if you are not caught up on "The Blacklist" Season 1. I'm all caught up and let's be real: Everything's crazy. Yeah. It’s getting crazy. The week before last that was when Liz’s dad died, right? Yes, and your first scene with James Spader. That was awesome. Working with him was fantastic. He’s supremely professional and amazingly gifted, obviously. He’s just a very supportive actor. He knows what he wants to happen and he likes to ...

'The Blacklist': James Spader NBC Drama Gets Full Season Pick-Up
Huffington Post - over 3 years
"The Blacklist" is about to get even twistier -- NBC has picked up its freshman James Spader-led drama for a full first season of 22 episodes. “The Blacklist” stars Emmy Award winner James Spader as Raymond "Red" Reddington, one of the FBI's most wanted criminals who mysteriously turned himself in and brought a list of his fellow fugitive criminals with him. But there's a catch (there's always a catch): He'll only work with a new recruit, a profiler named Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone). Red's intentions are never what they seem, and as Spader pointed out to HuffPost TV, the only thing you can really believe about Red is that you can't believe anything he says. "He amused me," Spader said. "He has such a strange and enigmatic life, and I liked the fact that the show could surprise you and be sort of thrilling, and yet, at the same time, have a sense of humor and irreverence." We named "The Blacklist" one of the best new dramas of the season, and in "The Blacklist's" first two weeks ...

'The Blacklist' Promo: Can You Trust Red Reddington, One Of The World's Most Wanted Criminals? (EXCLUSIVE VIDEO)
Huffington Post - over 3 years
If one of the world's most wanted criminals strolled into the FBI and surrendered, offering valuable intel on terrorist threats and deadly assassins with (seemingly) no strings attached, would you trust him? Such is the dilemma facing rookie FBI profiler Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone) when Raymond "Red" Reddington (James Spader) gives himself up in the opening minutes of NBC's "The Blacklist" and refuses to communicate with anyone but her, kickstarting a chain of events that she never could've predicted. HuffPost TV has an exclusive first look at the new promo for "The Blacklist," which you can check out above. When we caught up with Spader last month, he advised viewers not to believe anything his calculating character says. "He's thoughtful and careful in what he says and how he says it and to who he says it. I think with him, you have to look very carefully between the lines. And sometimes around on the other side of them," he laughed. "Sometimes good people do terribly bad things ...
