MANGO N MILKSHAKE - PUPPY LOVE WITH A SMITTEN KITTEN Pit bull puppy, Milkshake, and orange tabby kitten, Mango, have captured hearts with their blossoming friendship. The cute couple of orphaned pets have become inseparable since being taken in by foster parents, Ben Lehrer and Michel Campbell of Kitten Rescue in Los Angeles. Displaying their affections - cuddling, canoodling, and even kissing. Kitten Rescue collected abandoned pit bull puppies at a South Los Angeles shelter, alongside NKLA (No Kill Los Angeles) coalition members Best Friends Animal Society's Los Angeles program, when they were presented with the three day old kitten by a group of kids. Mango, Milkshake and sibling Boo Boo were put into foster care with expert bottle feeders, Lehrer and Campbell, and have grown-up as family - eating, playing and sleeping together. The foster parents have confirmed there have been adoption inquiries but the trio yet to eat solid foods and are approximately five or six weeks away from being spayed and neutered. Launched to raise awareness of the plight of homeless kittens and puppies that flood the shelter system every year., a video called "Mango loves Milkshake" has become an internet sensation with several hundred thousand views. A Kitten Rescue spokesperson said: "We hope it will help some people see that pit bulls are not inherently vicious, but wonderful pets that deserve the same love and respect as any other dog instead of facing breed-based discrimination. And we hope it will inspire people to get involved in the movement to end the killing of homeless animals, whether by volunteering, adopting or donating. In every city and every town, there are Mangos and Milkshakes that need your help!"
