The troubled singer's body was found at her home in Heber Springs, Arkansas on Sunday (17Feb13) and reports suggest the 37 year old passed away from a self-inflicted gun shot wound, according to E! Online. McCready's death comes just one month after her boyfriend, music producer David Wilson, was found dead from a suspected suicide in January (13). Earlier this month (Feb13), a judge committed the singer to a medical facility after concerned family members questioned her ability to care for her two sons, Zander, six, and nine-month-old Zayne. Doctors released McCready a day later and she returned home to undergo 21 days of treatment as an outpatient. McCready has endured a tough few years - she allegedly tried to take her own life in 2008 and was hospitalised after she slashed her wrists and took several pills. (LM/WNWE/MT). Mindy McCready.
